Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am sorry I was short with you. This couple's picture hung in the house my grandaddy grew up in until his parents died. It has been in our family's possession since the early 1900s. I finally decided to put it on the internet for the benefit of people who may be descended from Broomfield Ball and his wife, Sallie Indiana Hayes Ball, which whom he had ALL of this children. The second wife was just that...a wife after the mother of his children had died. We have several photos of Broomfield and Sallie and him as an old man. He was granddaddy's own grandfather on his mother's side, so I heard about him regularly.

Imagine my delight when I found this memorial and seeing what my ancestors looked like!

I am writing once again (I'm filling your page it seems) to request permission to use these photos for Ancestry with proper credit given of course.

I would be very grateful.

One last question
I see that you are related to the Carvells. I know a Mr. G. Carvell that owns property (esp in Pulaski, TN---and keeping first name out of message because he is still living) My curiosity got the better of me, and wondered if that name is familiar to you?

James Chapman
Hello! :)

Copied a message you left for D. Miles
Chapman Cemetery
I just went over to the Chapman Cemetery and there are no stones of any kind for my ancestor James Chapman, born 1780, probably in N.C. and died before 1860 in Giles County, Tenn. I am interested in any documentation you have that will help me to prove he is buried here. If he ever had a tombstone and it is possibly underground, my husband is experienced at raising tombstones and restoring the area around them. James's son Sam had a son named James Monroe. His daughter, Nora, married, Milton Aaron Owen in Giles County, Tenn. Their daughter, Eula Mae Owen Carvell was my mother's mother.
Thank you for your assistance.

I'm from the same line, James is my GGGG-grandfather. I was wondering if you found out anything regarding this? BTW: All the information I have on him regarding his birthplace is New Hampshire. Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated

Have a great day!

Jehu Ball
Thank you for the information on Mr. Ball and his family. I tried to research him and found limited information, probably because I did not have his correct name(s). I appreciate the contriubtion to his memorial.

Let me see if I can find the email from the suggested correction in 2011 so you can set that person straight because I have no relation at all, I just made the changes the person requested.

RE: B.L. Ball Shane Cemetery
I did not share any photo. You are the one who added the photo to what I'm assuming is this memorial. As for the link, you can see it is a 'calculated relationship' so the link is from the other memorial. When you click on the other memorial, you see the information came from suggested correction by contributor Tony, June 2011. So I'm not sure why you're getting huffy with me when I did not add any photo at all (look at the names underneath the photo, the contributor isn't the only person who can add a photo), and when the info is from someone else who contacted me and asked me to put it on there. I will gladly add whatever info you want added and cite you as the source, but I will also leave the other info because I do not have the authority, time or patience to figure out which one of you are correct.
