William H. and Thomas A. Gallaher
I noticed that they both died in Hennepin County abt 4 years apart. Can someone enlighten me as to their demise? Two brothers, same county, and then sent back to St. Charles, Missouri for burial. Help please. Jane

Howdy
Daniel, I think of you on occasion when I run across Matt Gauss, or the picture you sent me of the Presbyterian Church elders. Hope you are well.

RE: James Gallaher (1824-1891)
Could you go to his site and send a request from there?

Thank you
Wow, this is really interesting. I always wondered what happened to the 3 little girls and mother left fatherless and widowed by the early death of William Houston Gallaher, brother of my Great-great-grandfather James Gallaher 1824 - 1891, whose grave we visit, along with the rest of his family, every Memorial Day out here in the Pacific Northwest. Then, because you have taken the time to put so much on Findagrave, I learn only one of them married and the lovely name Florida was passed down 4 generations! So, now I wonder if you can answer what happened to poor William in Minneapolis? How did he die so young? Have you read his diary? He isn't very flattering of James' parenting in the diary, and I am sorry he didn't get to live to do his own.

I guess that would be three items of interest.

I think we will leave it as is. If anyone is really interested in her, they can get the information off the memorial marker or off the information you have on William's page. Two items of interest:
1. If you had started a memorial page on Lydia back in 2009, when you did William, you could have done the page the way you wanted it done. 2. Adding "probably in Alabama" would not be adding a fact, and if later it is found not to be the case, it would be misleading. AND 3. If you had answered our reply to your request back in December 2011, you probably would not have needed to come back 6 months later, started a message off with "I believe we discussed this back in early December 2011".
Bye Cuz!

Not a problem! We have corrected her page! Is this a direct line ancestor of yours?

RE: Major James Houston
It appears to me that the two are not the same person since mine is that of a child not an adult.
