Working on my family history is my hobby. I've been at it about 15 years. I've picked up where my aunt, Harriette E Barrow left off. I was able to trace my family history and become a DAR member in 2006. Along the way I've met several cousins and have been able to help others with their genealogies. Thanks to my Aunt Frances for keeping scrapbooks. Thanks to my cousins for sharing: Marlea Rice Warren, Charlene Chesnut Dawson, Doris Porter, Bruce Barrow, Jason Roland Barrow, Dotty Barrow, Greg Cassady, Ting, Barrow, Jean Kay Chilson, Shelly Robbins Reese. I've also been extremely fortunate to meet others along the way who have helped me. They have been gracious and willing to share.|
I need to thank Joyce Tice, whose website, Tri-Counties Genealogy & History by Joyce M. Tice has been a valuable source in putting the family pieces together.
Also another valuable resource:
Old Fulton Postcards by Thomas Tryniski for NY newspaper clippings. This has been most helpful to me in linking my families.
I've added photos that I'm willing to share. I would only asked that I'm credited for my work.

Hi Susan, thanks for your message about James Woodcock. Although I do not see his parents' memorials in order to link them, I did find his death certificate and attached an image and did a transcription to include in the bio section. Have a great day! -- Michael C.

|George Stevens||William BARROW (1795-1882)|
Three followup questions in regard to your well researched
and posted gravestone photographs and genealogy for the family of William Barrow, reportedly born in England on 28 July 1795, and died near Canton, Bradford County, PA, on 5 March 1882.
1. What was your source for this date of birth? Is it derived from family records, a bible, local death or cemetery records?
Several BARROW Family genealogies, posted online at
Ancestry.Com also cite 28 July 1795 date as the birthdate for the same William BARROW, adding that he was born in Kendal or Kendall, Westmoreland County, England.
2. Are you aware of any local Pennsylvania or other records that support this specific location as Wm. Barrow's place of birth?
Ancestry.Com has posted an on-line database, "England, Selected Births and Christenings, 1538-1975," which notes that Thomas and Dorothy BARROW were the parents of a son,
William BARROW. Three redundant records consistently indicate that this William Barrow, son of Thomas and Dorothy BARROW, was baptized in Westmoreland County, England, on 3 November 1797. Only one of these three baptismal records
provides a date of birth, and that date is 31 October 1797,
four days before the baptism. Two of the records indicate the baptism was performed in Underbarrow, Westmoreland County, and only one of the records notes that the baptism occurred in Kendal, Westmoreland County, England. These three baptismal records really don't provide a lot of hard support for 28 July 1795 as being the birthdate of William Barrow, but the circumstantial evidence suggests that Thomas & Dorothy Barrow might be his parents, and the single record of a baptism in Kendal, Westmoreland County, England might suggest that we are close.
3. Do you have any other thoughts or suggestions for further research regarding the date and place of birth for this Wm. Barrow?
Many thanks for any assistance you are able to provide.
Best Regards, George H. Stevens, email@example.com.

m not sue what is on that stone, but its more than another Dunmore stone. I see she was married to a William Dunmore. But his stone is not there.
This link to Joyce site for that cemetery shows you the names of the Dunmore's buried around her.

|David Mott Rote||Charles S. Spaulding|
Many thanks for all your contributions to the findagrave site. You had provided information on Charles S. Spaulding, son of Martin Bates Spaulding. Any chance you might know a member of that family who would have a photograph of Charles' grandfather Thomas Hunt Spaulding? I am doing a research project on John R. Keim of Manhattan, New York, who married Gladys Spaulding, daughter of Thomas Hunt Spaulding and Frances A. Bates. This Spaulding family was related to the Buffalo Spaulding family of Elbridge Gerry Spaulding as they were both descendants of the original Edward Spalding of Braintree, MS. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
