Bio and Links
Bio Photo Working on my family history is my hobby. I've been at it about 15 years. I've picked up where my aunt left off. Was able to trace my family history and become a DAR member in 2006.

I need to thank Joyce Tice, whose website, Tri-Counties Genealogy & History by Joyce M. Tice has been a valuable source in putting the family pieces together.

Freeman Spaulding in Amherst
Thank you Susan for helping us out on this one. I checked the Amherst Vital Records for his death too and transcribed it in his bio along with his birth record that you sent. Wonder how someone got everything so wrong on his stone? Guess we'll never know. Thanks again - link to father is done. -Jackie

RE: Hatch Spaulding
Reuben and Martha Proctor Spaulding had two sons named Reuben Hatch or Hatch Reuben Spaulding.
The first was born 10 Dec. 1825 in Washington, Sullivan, NH and died 22 Dec 1834 in Washington.
He is buried in East Washington Cemetery as Hatch R. and is on the same stone as his brother Ebenezer C. Spaulding. I have seen his name listed in the Spaulding histories as Reuben Hatch even though his gravestone says Hatch R.

The 2d son Reuben Hatch Spaulding was born on April 21, 1839 and died Mar. 21, 1841. He is on the same stone as his brother Silvester H. Spaulding. They are also buried in the East Washington Cemetery.

Hatch Spaulding
According to his gravestone he died 22 Dec 1834. This would make his dob that you gave me (21 April 1839) not possible.

RE: Olmstead Gravemarkers
Dear Susan,
Yes, of course you can use them. I did take high resolution photos but had to reduce the size in order to put on Findagrave.
If you send me your email I will send the better ones to you. I also took one of the two markers, side by side.
The DAR is having a meeting at the cemetery on April 6 to do a Genealogy workshop. I am friends with the Chapter President Wilhelmena Kelly who is one of leading members in the US. If you go to our website www.friendsofmaplegrove.org
you can see the flyer.
I would love to hear the family stories for Bernice and Normand. We collect family histories for those we care for at Maple Grove.
Thanks
Carl
