Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in my family ancestry for a long time. I just recently found this web-site and immediately joined.

I was born and raised in Linton, Indiana. I went to college at Indiana Business College in Vincennes (Bill Shephard, President). I moved to the Indianapolis area in December of 1985.

I have been married 19 years to my wonderful husband, Randy. I have three grown step-daughters who have given us four grandkids with two more on the way. We also have two sons.

My maiden name is Branstetter and my mom's side of the family are Kinnaman's. I'm also interested in Hawley's and Becker's which are my husband's side.

For request in the Stilesville Cemetery, please be patient with me. I am trying to contact someone who can point me to the grave sites instead of wondering aimlessly. I will get to them as soon as I can I promise. The same with the Clayton Cemetery and Danville East Cemetery. I would like to photograph all the graves in Danville and Stilesville as soon as the weather gets better.

RE: Lois Carol Hawley
Yes I do know that. Her sister Jane Hawley Ward was my sister-in-law. This is how I know about Lois and her friend Barbara.

Carl, Jane & Lois made a trip to Oregon to see me along with other stops to see family.

RE: Lois Carol Hawley
Yes, my brother married her. I am k a younger sister. They were married in 1956. I have known Lois since then. I am the one who made, at Jane's request, a genealogy study of her side of the family. k

You can copy and paste it, or go to www.RootsWeb.com, and click on FAMILY TREES, then click on ADVANCED SEARCH and key in his name. My database is called "eliassillhawley"

Hawley in S Danville Cemetery
Hi, Debra,
I noticed your pictures posted for Hawleys in South Danville Cemetery. I have a database which includes Karl O & Marion P Hawley, also in South Danville Cemetery, but I don't know if your relatives are connected.

This is part of the genealogy for The Hawley Society www.HawleySociety.org
I'd love to know more about your Hawley connection.

Clayton East Cemetery
There is no stone there which has not been photographed and uploaded to Find A Grave. The County Keeper for Hendricks County is also a professional cemetery restorationist. This cemetery has been restored. When she did it, she photographed before and after photos.

Let me know which memorial you want a picture for and I'll see if possibly the person is buried elsewhere.

And to answer your other question. I'm in Avon, so it's not too bad of a drive.

Question
Hello Debra,
Welcome to Find A Grave. In answer to your questions. I go to the cemetery and start in a row and take a picture of each grave. Then I go home and type the info from each picture into the spreadsheet on Find a Grave. You don't want to add a person to the site is someone else already has so, I then go to the cemetery on find a grave and check each name to make sure that the person has not already been put onto the site. If they have been then I delete them from the spreadsheet then I send the spreadsheet to find a grave. When I have time I start downloading the pictures onto the site. Not all cemeteries have the graves numbered like the Veterans cemetery so I don't have the grave number on the all of the graves I have added. One thing you should always check and that is to see if someone else is working a cemetery before you start. I just look at the people already entered for the cemetery and if it looks like someone has entered a lot I email them to see if they are or are not working the cemetery. Have fun.
