sam popple from colfax was my father-in-law's first cousin. my wheeler family homesteaded in rock falls, two families - Jacob (my great grandfather) and his brother henry. the wheeler's from colfax would probably be descendants of henry's son, sam wheeler. most of my wheeler lineage moved to the chippewa falls area where i grew up.
