Bio and Links
Bio Photo Any pics or information I have added to this site is free for others to use. The way I feel about it is if you don't want others using the info you put on FAG, then don't put it on here. Like my mom use to tell me,'" If your not willing to share than don't get it out". Researching the Wrights, Graves, Shelton, Davis, Green, Wilson, Barkers, Gerens, Thompson, Farmers, Hoopers and Cartwrights. If I enter incorrect information please let me know. I have a very slow connection and often takes awhile to get back. Please be patient and nice. I do this to help others find their loved ones. Don't hesitate to ask for a transfer will be glad to do it. I am also researching the Still family buried at Red Hill, Elijah and Letha Ann are my 4th great grandparents. I am not willing to transfer the Still Memorials at Red Hill unless they are your grandparents etc.

Treasures in a Box
by Pamela Harazim

Come, look with me inside this drawer,
In this box I've often seen,
At the pictures, black and white,
Faces proud, still, serene.

I wish I knew the people;
These strangers in the box,
Their names and all their memories
Are lost among my socks.

I wonder what their lives were like.
How did they spend their days?
What about their special times?
I'll never know their ways.

If only someone had taken time
To tell who, what, where, when,
These faces of my heritage
Would come to life again.

Could this become the fate
Of the pictures we take today?
The faces and the memories
Someday to be tossed away?

Make time to save your pictures,
Seize the opportunity when it knocks,
Or someday you and yours could be
The strangers in the box.

Some of my favorite Epitaphs:
1. When the mists shall rise above us, as our father knows his own,Face to face with those that love us, We shall know as we are known. Lo behold the orient meadows. Floats the golden fringe of day, Heart to heart,we bide the shadows Till the mists have cleared away. Memorial# 69852171
2. We had a little treasure once. He was our joy and pride. We loved him ah perhaps too well. For soon he slept and died. All is dark within our dwelling. Lonely are our hearts today. For the one we loved so dearly has forever passed away. Memorial # 70274957
3. From obscurity he ascended to honor and great usefulness. His feet were firmly planted on Christ and the great doctrines of salvation. His great soul was melted into tenderness before the cross. The benevolence of heaven moved his heart zeal for a lost world inspired all his powers, While from behind the cross he portrayed the glories of the redeemed and the despair of the dammed with that native eloquence which bore down all before it. Memorial #69813979
4.Stranger walk lightly on this grave. Here lies my boy W.F. Richey who never spoke an oath in his life. He died shouting free salvation for everybody. Memorial# 69933101
5. Sheltered And Safe From Sorrow. Memorial # 100110355
6. She giveth his beloved sleep. Memorial#58950376
7. Dearest sister thou hast left us, Here thy loss we departing feel; but the God who hath bereft us, He can all our sorrows heal.Memorial # 73857921

Thank you so much for getting the picture for me. The last name is spelled wrong on the headstone it should be Brancefield. Granville Lispcomb Brancefield is my great grandfather brother.

Margaret S. (Harris) Grant
Thank you for putting up the memorial on Margaret Susan Harris Grant #88469926. She is my Great Great Grandmother. I added a picture of her Grave Stone to your memorial. I will be creating a memorial for her husband Harvey Grant who is buried in Roane County. My Great Grandmother Bertie E. (Grant) Prophater was Harvey and Maggie's daughter.
If you would like to add Margaret Susan Harris' parents Thomas Cyrus Harris #112407919 and Margaret A. (Martin) Harris #112409278 as links on her page please do so. I created the memorials for them today.
Kindest Regards,

Hi Laurie,
I am Lonnie's daughter-in-law. I am wondering if you would consider transfer of management (#96334362) to myself. I have several links I would like to add.
Many thanks,
Jean Murphy

Laurie

Do you have a pretty good understanding of the GILLESPIE family buried at Forest Hill Cem. I have just begun researching them.
