RE: Pickett Cemetery
Thank you so much for your response and all the information you shared. I am quite disappointed and extremely saddened that this cemetery has been treated with such disrespect and irreverence by the current owners [and past non family owners]of the original Pickett land in which the family cemetery resides. I can't help but wonder how they would feel if someone else treated a family cemetery of their own family in such a way.
It is tragic to me that so many small family grave sites are disappearing like this in our country. From your description, I doubt there are any stones left to take a photograph any more. I like to have a photo of the stone because it has valuable information for those of us researching our family tree.
I am sure there are more of my Pickett family buried there than I know at this time, but you asked me which specific ones I am looking for right now. I know for sure buried in that cemetery is: James Sanford Pickett [the Sanford you mentioned as the original land owner. He went by Sanford rather than James. He married my 5th gr grand aunt]and his wife Elizabeth Rookwood Pickett. Their sons, James Sanford Pickett Jr.[he was a Judge] and his wife Martha "Patsy" Smith Magruder Pickett, Hiram J Pickett and his wife Martha Elizabeth Rookwood Pickett. Their daughter, Lavenia Pickett [if she married, I do not know her married surname]. James Sanford Pickett Jr. and wife Martha "Patsy" have a son buried there, Thomas S Pickett. Hiram and Elizabeth have a daughter buried there as well, Julia A Pickett.
That's all I know about at this time. I am still going through written family records which is where I found the info on burial of those above.
I guess there is no point in my trying to access this family cemetery now. It is on private property and doubtful any stones still exist. Again, thank you so much for your response and sharing your information.

Pickett Cemetery
Hi there,
I was wondering if you had some information to share with me about the Pickett Cemetery near Bethel, Shelby County, Missouri? I have family buried there I just discovered and family records show it as the Hiram J Pickett Family Cemetery. Supposedly it is on his original farmland and was laid out near the home. I was wondering if you have been to it and if it is located on private property today? Are there many stones still in existence? I am planning a trip to Missouri and would love to visit this cemetery if I can find it and if I am not trespassing on private property. The two memorials you made for that cemetery, one is a distant cousin and the other his wife. Any information you can give me I will very much appreciate.

Thank you, Michelle

Myrna Shirey
Miller family
Find A Grave contributor obsessive_journey has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Pauline Miller.

Their suggestion:
Please link Pauline to her parents: 30853164
Rosa J Miller 30853133
Spencer Lee Miller 30853108

They are buried in the same cemetery.
Virginia, I believe I transfered these people to you. Right? Could you please make these changes?
Thanks, M. Shirey

Baker, Joseph & Catherine
I have uploaded photos to both of the Bakers. If you make a memorial for Joseph L. I'll be glad to upload the photo for him. In fact, you have entered 2 memorials for Joseph C. so maybe you could edit one. Let me know when you are ready for the photo. Please don't request a photo since I already have it.
Thank you,

Buckner Cemetery
Virginia, do you know where the Buckner Cemetery is located? I would love to photograph the site for you but I need to know the location of the cemetery. I live in Monroe County, Tellico Plains and there are many side roads where with a lot of cemeteries. It would help if you could tell me the general area where it is located.
