My interest in cemeteries and graveyards is more academic than genealogical. The layout, history, and types of stones speaks volumes about the communities who create these monuments. The blog I maintain follows up on this interest.|

Jonathan - Thank you so much for getting those pictures for me. William P. is her husband, and Leon her son. I didn't expect to find Leon there, so that is a real find!! I really appreciate your efforts. Would you mind e-mailing those pictures to me? My address is rbryant at stephouse dot net. Best regards - Rick

The brothers at Gerizim and Candy Hill have been reunited by the work of your hands in taking these pictures. Much thanks.

Thanks for your graciousness in taking the picture of Mr. Hamilton. Words cannot express what this means to our family.

Thank you for claiming my great aunt, Laura Ledbetter, at Gerizim Cemetery. If you haven't been there yet, I have a favor to ask. I am adding her sister, Mary Bentley to my photo request. I had been looking for her in the wrong place. The funeral home records from Alcorn County listed the cemetery as Pine Bluff in Myrtle. Today I called a funeral home in New Albany, and was told that Pine Bluff was actually Gerizim, so I added her to Gerizim and hope that she will be found there. I would hope that her grave is not far from her Blizzard family members. Also, I have been unable to find records of the burials of the husbands of these sisters. If you see them there, photos of their markers would be greatly appreciated. Again, thank you for your kind assistance.
Ms. Blanche's name is now spelled correctly at Findagrave. And I am glad to get it corrected. Be sure to tell your friends about my friendly cemetery service.

Thank you for the photos of John B. Stewart, his wife and parents. All of those Stewarts, Blacks, and Pattersons (among others) are related by blood and marriage. I appreciate your efforts!
