|I became interested in family research in the early 1980's and it quickly became an obsession that I indulged at every opportunity.|
Cemeteries have always fascinated me since, as a child, my grandmother would take me to clean around the family graves.
My family has come to understand that my travels are planned around families, cemeteries, courthouses and libraries.

Linda - forgot to point out that Sarah Elizabeth Williams and Thomas Jefferson Williams SR (My grandfather) were actually brother and sister) Guess that makes Sarah Elizabeth - my great-great Aunt, blood relative.

Hi Linda -
I have been looking up family history and just saw your post about Sarah Elizabeth Williams who was born January 1, 1860 to Mary Ann Freeman and Thomas Alexander Williams in Navarro Co., TX. They are actually buried in Paris, Texas. My great-grand grandfather was Thomas Alexander Williams and great grandmother Mary Ann Freeman Williams. My grandfather was Thomas Jefferson Williams, SR, my dad Thomas Jefferson Williams JR and my brother Thomas Jefferson Williams, III. Do you have much history of Thomas Alexander Williams and Mary Ann Freeman Williams. Thanks for your reply.I live in Durant, OK
J.J.L. Brady - The only photo I have is posted on the memorial.
Have other Brady photos of our family.

Bonnie is my Dad's first cousin. Isn't she wonderful?! I've linked Melvin's parents to his memorial. Thanks for the information!

Linda, was going through some old Gotebo newspapers and came across a short obit for Bell. It lists her death date as Apr. 22, 1976, with a brother, Del Whitely, of Gotebo, a niece, Mrs. Alfred Watkins, a great-niece, Mrs. Jim Allen and a great-great-niece, Nikki Allen. I think I still owe you some relatives, will be transfering them as soon as I can.
|Rick Holman||Hi, Linda|
It is really great to find another potential relative. I've not done any work on the Hagoods. The picture I have of Buelah Davis Strickland is from my mother and grandmother. Buelah was my GGrandmother.
Did you see the 1904 picture of the Strickland(s)? It contained Buelah and her mother.

I have had computer problems so just seeing your message.
From what I recall, this grave is located when you drive into the cemetery, stay to the road on the right side (south side of cemetery). The grave marker, like I noted is laying on the ground, but face up. Isn't it a pretty headstone? It is probably 3 or four rows from the very back of the cemetery on the right hand side of the row. I'd be glad to help you some weekend if you need assistance. E-mail me and let me know. I live about 8 miles from there in Texas and go over there to visit my parents at Willis every weekend on Sunday afternoon.
If this is a relative, would you like me to transfer ownership of the memorial to you? I don't mind.
