Bio and Links
Bio Photo Have not been active for a long time now and today I am here and find many messages. I am going to try and stay active again. Life gets in the way sometimes. 25 APR 2014.

I am from the Trumbull County area in Ohio.
Been in this area all my life and don't plan on leaving.
I just recently started my family tree and I am now very engrossed. Didn't have a clue what I was doing at first but I have learned alot in three weeks. Still have alot to learn.
My family comes from Pennsylvania and Kentucky.
Some of the PA family came through other states, whatever port they came to.

Hi Lori, you have the father of Thomas Craft, bn 1794 as Joseph Craft, bn 1818. I believe Joseph was a son of Thomas Craft, not his father. Thomas was born 25 years before Joseph.

I'm looking for further proof of the relationship of these two people. thank you.

He's at Ringgold, moved along with Permelia from Mofield Cemetery @ Fishing Creek. I forgot to add that to my last message.

Hello, I see where you had a question about Permelia. She was originally buried at Mofield Cemetery (which was on the bank of Fishing Creek, that's why it was sometimes referred to as Fishing Creek Cemetery).
Her grave was relocated to Ringgold in 1948 when Lake Cumberland was impounded. I have a copy of the Corps of Engineers document supporting it. The picture Cadmus added is correct for the memorial.

I hope this clears up a mystery.

Austin Pettit

I am not a relative but the Austin you have posted at lover's Lane Memorial cemetery was born in 1784 in PA and died in Leavittsburg. His wife Elizabeth was born in 1796 in VA and they were married in 1829 in Columbiana Co., Ohio.

They had 5 known children in Salem, Columbiana Co. at the time of the 1850 census.

I am tracking their youngest Sarah Ann.
