Have not been active for a long time now and today I am here and find many messages. I am going to try and stay active again. Life gets in the way sometimes. 25 APR 2014.|
I am from the Trumbull County area in Ohio.
Been in this area all my life and don't plan on leaving.
I just recently started my family tree and I am now very engrossed. Didn't have a clue what I was doing at first but I have learned alot in three weeks. Still have alot to learn.
My family comes from Pennsylvania and Kentucky.
Some of the PA family came through other states, whatever port they came to.

I am not a relative but the Austin you have posted at lover's Lane Memorial cemetery was born in 1784 in PA and died in Leavittsburg. His wife Elizabeth was born in 1796 in VA and they were married in 1829 in Columbiana Co., Ohio.
They had 5 known children in Salem, Columbiana Co. at the time of the 1850 census.
I am tracking their youngest Sarah Ann.

I saw that James M Franks was your great grandfather. He was my great uncle (his sister Bessie was my grandmother). Drop me a message. I have some family pictures that you may not have seen.

Hi Lori, I just put a message on your message board about an hour ago. I just came back from Ringgold Cemetery where I found Permelia Dixon's grave. It is in the old section of the cemetery in some weeds and for some reason it is turned around facing a fence, most of the stones are facing the other direction. Her grave is next to Ada Dixon. I did'nt see a grave for John P. Dixon but the space on the other side of her was missing the stone so he may be buried there. I got a picture of her headstone and will put it on her memorial tonight.

|Cadmus||Fishing Creek Cemetery,|
Hi Lori, I was just looking at Find A Grave and came across this guestion you put on the message board for Delores F. Hudson. In the 1940's when Wolf Creek Dam was built the burials in Fishing Creek Cemetery were moved to Ringgold Cemetery. Hope this helps.
Permelia (Dick) Dixon
Just had a ? about Permelia's burial. I read on her death record that she is buried at Fishing Creek Cemetery. Is this a mistake??? If they got it wrong and the memorial you have at Ringgold is actually correct I would like to correct my records. Plus I am trying to have a friend of mine in that area get me a photo of her headstone.
Her husband John P. Dixons death record also has his burial listed at Fishing Creek.
Thank You, Lori
