|My wife, Barbara, and I live near Summerville, Pa. We are retired. We attend the Zion Lutheran Church at Shannondale, Pa which is next to the Shannondale Union Cemetery. |
We have taken many photos at various cemeteries in Jefferson and Clarion counties as part of our genealogy research. We live near Shannondale Union, Westview, Carrier, Paradise (Clarion Cty), Truittsburg, and Hawthorne area cemeteries. We will do what we can to help.
SHANNONDALE UNION CEMETERY: We now have a map for the Cemetery. It is near the sign. I am working with Amos and Gloria Wolfgong to create a list of those buried at Shannondale. Many graves are unmarked so it will never be complete. Amos and Gloria have done most of the work. I just put it on excell. Ken

You may want to ask the admins to transfer this memorial back to you. The woman you transferred to has been removed from the site.
|Cheryl Carmany Marr||RE: Jacob Lucas|
Jacob is not my relative, his wife is my relative. She was married before she married Jacob and she is in Eddyville with her first husband. I don't know if Jacob had another wife. Thank you for linking them together. I appreciate it!

Hi Ken, thanks for replying. You can delete it like any other memorial, but you'll just need to give the Admins a reason - since it was a transferred memorial. Lasherp (Phil) won't be able to delete unless you transfer the memorial back to him. Let me know if that's what you want to do and I'll let Phil know to delete once that's done. Thanks for your help.
Regarding Pvt John Span, mem #45618046, in St. Pauls Lutheran Cem., Jefferson Co, PA...the regimental roster shows Pvt John Spear; the National Park Service shows pvt John Spare.
This is a common problem with Civil War enlistees- some of them never had a formal education; could not read or write.
Thanks so much for the transfers!

Thank you for this photo. Haven't seen or heard much from you lately. Glad to see you are still out there.
|Sweitzer||Curtin and Jessie Brown|
Thanks for all of your work with Find A Grave.
Curtin Brown is the brother of my GGrandfather John A Brown (92258393) and the son of Samuel Brown (96471436) and Jane Ross Brown (96471967).
Jessie is the mother of their children Lena and Ray Brown. Curtin was also married to Lizzie Minnich later in life.
I would appreciate it if you would link Curtin to his parents. Also, if you are not related in any way, I would appreciate it if you would transfer these two memorials to me.
Again, thank you for your efforts.
Grandson of Jennie Brown Chandler
Son of Doris Chandler Sweitzer
