|My wife, Barbara, and I live near Summerville, Pa. We are retired. We attend the Zion Lutheran Church at Shannondale, Pa which is next to the Shannondale Union Cemetery. |
We have taken many photos at various cemeteries in Jefferson and Clarion counties as part of our genealogy research. We live near Shannondale Union, Westview, Carrier, Paradise (Clarion Cty), Truittsburg, and Hawthorne area cemeteries. We will do what we can to help.
SHANNONDALE UNION CEMETERY: We now have a map for the Cemetery. It is near the sign. I am working with Gloria Wolfgong to create a list of those buried at Shannondale. Many graves are unmarked so it will never be complete. Gloria has done most of the work. I just put it on excell. Ken
I am sorry to say that my friend Amos Wolfgong recently passed away. He was a walking book of the history of the Shannondale Union Cemetery and the Shannondale area. He is sorely missed.

Thanks for checking! I am making a family history scrapbook for my nephew, who is a Kiehl. Lewis B Kiehl is his 3rd gr grandfather. John's brother, William Tobias, is his direct line.

|John Knapp||Lucy and W. I. Himes|
I am looking for information on this couple.
Recently I came across some old deeds to property I now own in Rose Township. These deeds (original I might add, old documents) I noticed that in 1884, W. I. Himes bought a house and a lot from what looks to be a tax sale. Also in 1896 Lucy and W. I. Himes bought 10 acres and 2 other smaller parcels. Then Lucy sold all the property in 1915. I have all these original deeds. While they are quite interesting to look at, my family has owned the property since 1918. It has about 10 acres, a old house and some other buildings. I was trying to find out more history of the house (a plain farm house). When was it built, by whom and who lived there. Are there any photos of the house prior to my family gaining it. Are there any photos of Lucy and W.I. Himes, which probably lived there, or did they live there? Just beginning my journey in searching the past and this couple looked like a good lead, since they are buried in Jefferson County, the stone looks quite nice, and the name who posted to the find a grave site appears to be a relative (Ken Himes). Anything you can tell me would be appreciated.
Any information you can give me on this couple, photos and information, plus mostly (did they live at this property and do you have any information on the home and what they did when they lived there - farmed, etc.).
Thanks for your time. I really hope to hear from you.

Hello there dear kind sir. Hope all is well with you.
I hope I didn't confuse you. SAC means "Suggest any other correction or addition." You can find that in the edit tab (upper right corner of the memorial however, you will not see this "SAC" option in your own memorials but you will see this option available when someone else manages a memorial that you do not manage). The function of the "SAC" or "Suggest A Correction" for short is used if there is something you want to ask, have added, or to communicate with another memorial manager in private, you can use this option. When I said I sent you a message via the "SAC" that means I used this option and in turn the message should have been forwarded to your email address. I hope this clears this up. I'm glad you got the message though. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for your nice message. Cheers my fellow findagraver! :)

Hello there. I just sent you an email regarding Mr. Norman Monroe Brocious via the SAC. If you would take a kind moment and read it I'd be much obliged. :)
