A reason to work on family history:|
"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord . . . And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."
A reason to volunteer on Find A Grave:
"And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God."
I am not doing this for any self-righteous purpose, but only for the reasons listed above.
In fairness to those who may have closer ties to a memorial, please read the Transfer Guidelines prior to requesting a transfer. You do not need to "manage" every memorial that is part of your family tree. Remember that this site is for locating burials, not building a tree. There are other websites that are more suited for that purpose. I will be happy to make any links and corrections. PLEASE use the SAC feature ("Edit" tab). Please feel free to add photos where appropriate, as you do not need to manage the memorial to add photos.
Please consider using the "virtual cemetery" feature on this site to keep track of relations.
Since March 2013 I have taken over management of memorials in Inglewood Park Cemetery from Chris Mills. Please continue to send suggestions for corrections using the "Edit" tab and I will get to them as soon as I can.
For those of you who do not receive messages on your contributor page: Please do not expect me to contact you via e-mail unless I know you personally. Please do not ask me questions or leave me messages that I need to respond to, unless you have your public messages enabled.
I will not make any more corrections for anyone who is a visitor to Find A Grave (or has not signed in). The reason is that I cannot get back to you with any questions I have about your suggestions. That also goes for folks who have messages disabled. One way communication does not work!

|Debbie Groberg||Inglewood Park- Emma Flory Bashor|
If you have time, I have another photo request in Inglewood.
I'm looking for Emma Flory Bashor. She died Aug 3, 1942. Her death cert states she was entombed in the in the Inglewood Park Mausoleum. When I called yesterday, they couldn't find records for her there, but they had records for her husband, Madison Bashor, who died in March of 1928. He is in the mausoleum in crypt #2103.
I have created memorial for Emma and Madison, but haven't made photo requests because I'd prefer that you take the photos.

Re: Comparing #121197131 to 79910362
Yes, the photo is very promising. Thank you so much for your efforts that go above and beyond your regular Find A Graves duties.

Her husband, my grandfather was buried in San Diego and I don't think she was buried with any Robinson family. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your help... This is great!
I am so excited to see this... It will be a wonderful addition to my records.
Being a vet and working? Something is not right with that story.
Thank you again...

Inglewood Park Cemetery

Can you tell me who she was married to? I am looking for my grandfather's 2nd wife. They lived in San Diego in 1062 where my grandfather was buried. He was originally from Washington.

Thank you so much for your reply regarding the headstone photo. I had also sent a note to the contributor who posted it & look forward to receiving a rely from him.
I enjoyed a beautiful Thanksgiving with 30 family members & visited Disneyland with grandchildren several days earlier. Fun!
Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas,
|GreenHills Stones Calling||79910362|
At your convenience would you please take a quick look at the headstone photo on memorial # 79910362 Joseph Q. Gustin to see if you have any impression about what cemetery it might be. This individual died in Los Angeles County. Since you have a lot of experience in the area, I just wondered if the photo offered any clues to you. (His son is laid to rest at Green Hills)
Hoping you had a wonderful Thanksgiving,

I don't want to set any sort of standard numer of pics. Seems two is more than needed in most cases & 1 is more than appropriate as a poster of unrequested volunteer pictures. I prefer to take & post my own pictures and believe room should be left for family to post pictures without having to sponser a memorial.
|Bob & Ann (DiMeglio) Alvey||Use of photos|
The only time I have added a max # of pictures is when they are my created memorials and usually contain one or more personal photos of the individual. I only add the basic photos to memorials where I am not related. But I have over 500 memorials for individuals in Green Hills that I or my wife are directly related to. I've never heard of an exception other than to pay to sponser a memorial. Your actions are nothing more than harassment to me. Add 5 picutres to each of your memorials, that will keep you active. I have never filled someone elses memorial with pictures so they could not add more themselves.
|Bob & Ann (DiMeglio) Alvey||Photo removal|
I did not remove any photos but I did ask Find A Grave to remove the excess photos that you added. No problem with your adding photos but to fill up the photo que so no one can add any is not in Find A Grave policies. I've been asked by find A Grave to report any future such actions to them so go ahead and reprot me, I've not removed any of your photos but it has been tempting as your actions are nothing short of harrassment. Why pick on me when you have your big cemeteryin Inglewood, a place that cannot even tell me where my little brother is buried and I attended his burial when I was a kid.
