Hoags in Walnut Creek Cemetery
Hi all the Hoags in Walnut Grove Cemetery are related. I have been working on the Jones/Hoag line since the late 60s and am the last person that has potential dates and places of birth of the babies of Elvin Hoag and Mary Eliza Jones Hoag. Tragically they lost 4 children as babies, one unnamed as follow;

(1) Son unnamed Hoag, b. Jan. 8, 1895; d. Mar. 10, 1895 (or 1896), age 2 mo., 2 days

(2) Mervin Hoag, b. July 19, 1891; d. Aug. 5, 1897, age 6 yrs., 17 days.

(3) Cora Valera Hoag, b. Apr. 11, 1898; d. Sept. 15, 1898 (or 1896), age 5 mo., 4 days

(4)DeForest(nmn)Hoag), b. May 28, 1904; d. Sept. 17, 1904, age 3 mo., 20 days.

LISTED IN ORDER OF THEIR DATE OF DEATH. I am hoping that if you analyze the gravestones, it may be possible to tell if number (1) or (3) d. in 1896 or the other given date.

Even though the stones are illegible, sometimes the final number can be read if you know which one it may be. I can identify all of the babies in the cemetery and how the adults are all related if you are interested in this information. If you are not, please pass the info on to someone who may be interested in adding these details to the cemetery records. You can reach me at gennut3@gmail.com I can identify one of the James Hoag babies also. Best wishes. Donna

Charles Charbonneau
Hi Randy, Thanks for the note about possible duplicates. I entered Charles Charbonneau 2x because there are 2 entries in Mt. Olivet with different plot info. It could be a clerical error, but it might also be 2 different Charles. It is possible that Charles, who died May 7, 1900, was originally buried in Mt. Elliott and moved a few weeks later. Or I might have the wrong Charles totally.
There is also a 3rd Charles Charbonneau listed for Mt. Olivet:
Charbonneau, Charles
Date of Interment: 05/07/1889
Cemetery: Mt. Olivet Cemetery
Location: Section 1, Tier 11, Space 317

I didn't make a memorial for him because I couldn't find any clues about him, as he isn't interred in a plot with other family members. I assume you're the person who requested a photo for Charles S. I've requested a photo for the other Charles, also. Please let me know what you find out.
In a few more days I will have no internet for a week, but rest assured that if you try to contact me and you don't hear back, I'm not ignoring you and will reply as soon as I return.

John and Marian Severance, Walled Lake Cemetery
Thanks very much for posting the photo of John and Marian Severance. Their son Melvin married a cousin of mine. I have now linked him to his parents. And thank you for the invaluable work that you're doing. I find that there is nothing sadder than to see "abandoned photos" in antique shops-nice to see efforts to make use of them.
