DNA
Hi Ella, hope you are doing well. My Dad recently received his results from the Anglin DNA project and there are some surprises. I'd be glad to share with you if your interested. The results traced our group 2 ancestor to William and Sarah Anglin in Ireland, he was born 1695 and immigrated to Maryland. I think you have my email address.

RE: Aaron Monroe Anglin
My maiden name is Anglin, my grand father was Luther Anglin son of Arthur Anglin, his father was William Thomas Anglin son of Aaron Anglin. I'm running into an issue with one of the genealogy people that are helping with the Anglin DNA project. She wants proof that William T was the son of Aaron. I found census for Aaron and Mary in Saline Hot Springs Arkansas 1850 listing William T as 7 year old son. The dates match their birth dates so I thought this was proof enough. The census says Aaron was born in Mississippi and This lady insist he was born in South Carolina. Therefore she negates the entire thing! Second proof I have not shown her yet is that William T was listed on the muster roll for the 1st Batalion sharp shooters in Lamar county at age 19 and Aaron age 42 was listed on the 9 th battalion Texas Melitia states he was born in 1819. So they were both in the civil war from district 3 Lamar county texas.
My question, where was Aaron born? Second, how did he die? It looks like he died only two months after he joined the militia. I just need to prove to this lady that William Thomas was Aaron Monroe's son. Bless you for all you help!

Aaron Monroe Anglin
Aaron Monroe Anglin was my 3 Great Grandfather. Do you have any information about him ? It looks like he died only two months after he joined the Texas Militia. There is a debate on where he was born , South Carolina or Mississippi. If you have any information on how he died and his birth place I would surely appreciate it !

Ella, Thank You very much for finding the spot at least.
Do you know anyone in that area who could provide a simple marker that I could have installed to mark his final resting place?

Do you know someone who makes simple concrete markers. I would like to investigate this for my Grandfather. Maybe you can pass my e-mail address on to someone.
