RE: harrelson
Hello Kristi, I see you are from my hometown also. I am the daughter of Ralph Glee and Eva Berniece Bowen Harrelson of Delco/Prosper, NC. My dad's parents were Jesse James and Catharine Loudella (Louise) Hilburn Harrelson of Tabor City in Columbus Co., NC. My mom's parents were William Columbus & Mattie Belvie Walker Bowen of Whiteville, Columbus Co., NC also. I have a family tree on Ancestry.com so feel free to email me about your ancestors and relatives. I also research family genealogy in this area and most anywhere. We are all partially related, but some of us are more related than we could ever imagine! Some of my direct ancestors are: Harrelson, Bowen, Hilburn, Walker, Jolly, Register, Coleman, Spivey, Hayes, Duncan, Mills, Powell, Soules, Burgess, Lewis and Stevens. I could go on and on, but that's just the direct line. I can give you permission to go on my website and you can copy some of your ancestors photos.

Respectfully Cathy

Just happened to stumble across your roots web info. I am familiar with John Ellis & Missouri King Lanier. They are buried in the woods that is up a lane off White Stocking Rd, Burgaw. John had a brother named Spicer who is buried there also. J.E. Jr is buried behind Jordan's Chapel Church located on Stag Park Rd, Burgaw. JE & Missouri also have another son buried at the Church named roy Lanier 1907-1999. John ellis was the son of Hiram & Nancy Raynor Lanier of Cypress Creek, Duplin Co, NC. Missouri was the daughter of enoch Jr. & Priscilla Jones King of Onslow Co, NC. they are buried at SouthWest Primitive Baptist Church HWY 53, Onslow Co, NC. I have photos of these people including John ellis and Missouri.

Harrelsons of Tabor City & Horry.
My dad was born in Tabor City, the son of Jesse James Harrelson & Catherine Ludella Hilburn Harrelson. This is how the tree goes:

1 Ralph G. Harrelson, Tabor City), 2 Jesse James Harrelson, (Tabor City), 3 Marion Jasper H. (Tabor City), 4 John Dolin, (born in Horry Co., died in Tobor City), 5 Josiah Lairl Jr. (Georgetown, SC,) 6 Josiah Lairl Sr. (Georgetown, SC), 7 Joseph (New Kent, VA. died in Horry, SC), and back to 1635 to 10 Paul Peter Harralson from Denmark.

I have all of the siblings and probably 90% of the entire family members and would be glad to help you when I can, just have a busy life with work & church. I just finished a Family Tree for someone in Onslow Co., & she turned out to have relatives in my family, such a small world!
