Jerry, I worked on Nellie after writing back to you. Her father, Capt. LEvi S. Dobbs and her brotherCharles S. Dobbs are both also buried at Hollywood near her. Charles is listed as a Jr., but he was the son of Levi. Levi's wife, Matilda "Mattie" Heard/Dobbs, remarried after his death, probably to his brother - a Charles S. Dobbs. I suspect that Jr. took on the Jr. title because his stepfather was Charles S. Dobbs (Sr). The three are buried here, Capt Levi S. Dobbs, Charles S. Dobbs (Jr) and of course, Nellie Dobbs/Cannon. Jerry, It is always so nice to hear from relatives, especially of those buried at Hollywood Cemetery. Then we know they are truly not forgotten.
