Bio Photo I'm a Yankee from PA, raised in NY, spent some years in TN, now in CA. Interested in genealogy for most of my adult life, but have only been actively researching for 10 years. I love to bring history to life for my family.

At this time, I am researching 6 family lines; the only common person to all 6 is me.

Names I am currently researching are:

If you find an error in my records/notes, contact me to let me know. The most important thing to pass along in my research is accuracy.

Wallaces at New Bethel Cememtery in Henry County, Tn
Roxanne, I am in the process of straightening out the problem with the (2) New Bethel Cemeteries in Henry County, Tn. They are on completely different ends of the county. The Wallaces are buried in Henry, Tn. To my point...IF ANY of the memorials that I am adding (you should receive a "request filled" notice) are ones that you want to have transferred to you, just let me know. I am going to try to add pictures as I go.

Elizabeth Shafer 1760-1835 Photo Request.

Your photo request for Elizabeth Shafer, Find A Grave Memorial# 39992095, is fulfilled. The interment is actually in Madisonburg Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery, see Find A Grave Memorial# 58556814. I will notify the owner and request that he delete the Memorial.--Storres

RE: Squire and Mary Blevins
Hi Roxanne. It appears that your son and I are 4th cousins if I am correct based on your online genealogical research (is your maiden name Dotson or Wolfe?). I am guessing Squire & Mary Blevins are his 4x great grandparents?

I descended from Squire Blevins and Mary Fagans through their son William Jefferson Blevins & his wife, Annie Elizabeth Hill. Squire & Mary are my 3x great grandparents.

I'm a genealogist of 19 years myself. I noticed that your research stops at Squire. I'd love to share what I have with you. I have the Blevins, Hill and many other lines going back to the 1600s...some even further back.

If interested, shoot me an email at cblee1978 AT yah00.c0m...Oh! And I posted a picture of Squire & Mary on both their memorials btw.

Take care!

RE: Re: Albert Hilbert Jr at Mt Hope
Great! Could you create a Find-a-Grave memorial for the elder Albert Hilbert and then submit a photo request. Then, the next time we go to the cemetery, we can take a photo of that gravestone (or someone else can if they get there first)...Since it was there in the survey in the 1980s, there is a good chance there is still a surviving marker for him.

Re: Albert Hilbert Jr at Mt Hope

We tried to find the marker for Albert Hilbert Jr and we found the location but there is no surviving marker. We are still planning to post a picture or two of this location, so you can see where he is buried...

In trying to find him, we did notice that according to a survey of surviving markers conducted in the 1980s (, there is an Albert Hilbert also buried in the BB Single Graves section (although not very near to Albert Jr) with dates 1877-1935, so he's of the right age to be Albert Jr's father. We were wondering if you wanted a picture of his grave.

RE: Bements at Eldred
It really is awful. I was very shocked. It's in the middle of a forest with briers every where. It was very hard to get around. There is a coating of ground cover every where so it was even hard finding some of the stones that were laying down. Also lots of wood chuck holes we had to be careful not to fall into. I'm going to contact someone around here and see if it's on the list of repairs soon, maybe then I could get more photos for you.
