If I have added a family member or friend of yours and you want me to transfer it to you, just send me a note in a "Suggest a Correction." I do not have a sense of entitlement to the memorials I put on here. As volunteers we should be grateful for the memorials that family members are caretakers of. If you would, please let me know how you knew the deceased just for my own personal knowledge as well as your Contributor ID number.
I have four children of my own and another that I am raising as mine. They are the most amazing five children ever. My three "littles" are in 9th grade, 7th grade and 6th grade. My "bigs" are 23 and 21. My daughter who is 23 is a tech support operator and my son who is 21 is currently a crew chief in the Air Force but will soon be training for TacP. They are my life wholly and completely.
I also have a FABULOUS granny that means everything to me. She is bar none the most amazing woman I have ever known. She is the reason I do this. All my life my granny made sure that her family was never forgotten. She has made me feel as if I know family members I have never met. Keeping family memories and histories alive is what this is all about.
After all, we are nothing without our ancestors.
Some of my family names are Gregg, Bilbrey, Phipps, Brown, McCowan, Phillips, Crawford, Kennedy, Smart, Ingram, Meer, Shull and Harvey.
On February 9th, 2010, my Granny, Livvie Bilbrey McCowan, passed away. Her daughter Ina McCowan Blanch was my grandma. Please visit their memorials if you have the time. I miss them so much and they were both truly some of the greatest women who have ever lived.
Also, please visit my step-dad, Jack David McKenzie's memorial too. Anything you left would tremendously help my mother with the grieving process. I have just introduced her to this site and she finds it cathartic. | |

 | Velma McCowan Crystal, I believe your Aunt Velma is my birth mother. I was born in Muncie. My original birth certificates identifies her as Velma Lee McCowan and Jackie Lee Ankrom as my father. My birth name was Jeraldean. I was born on Oct 17, 1956. I was put up for adoption when I was 9 months old, in Etowah County Alabama. Please let me know if my long search is over and if I have any siblings.

 | Your Granny Livvie I visited her memorial, and just wanted to say, she seems like she was an amazing woman. Reminds me of my own grandmother.Added by Carolyn on Nov 07, 2012 9:54 PM | | | Carolyn B
 | RE: Candis Bilbrey Hey, Yes I am sure that the picture is Candis. The picture has been handed down to my Greatgrandmother who knew Candis before she died. I have pictures of my greatgrand mother with Candis' daughter Frankie, who also knew that the picture belonged to Candis. I am descended through Frances Harris Bilbrey, then America Elizabeth, then Dora, then Susie, then Thelma, then Anna, then me. Do you have any info on Candis' first husband Henry Harris? Everyone has hit a dead end on him. Carolyn | | | Jerry

Yours is such a unique name, it's easy to remember. I came across a Carrie & Charles McManigle yesterday...here in Warren, PA. Thought you might want to know, if it might be a relative. Find A Grave Memorial# 94707783 Take care! Julie | | | Dena Pilkey

 | RE: Jacob Klock The name sounded familiar, but just couldn't place when I had worked with it since it was so long ago. Thanks for the reminder! If you agree there is no marker, would suggest you remove your photo request and put a note on his memorial to that effect, so others will know. | | | Diane Gravlee
 | RE: Jacob Klock Did you send this thank you to the right person. I have not looked for graves for several months due to shoulder surgery. Diane | | | Charles Champion
 | Clarsie Mae Brown Bilbrey After reading your account of Clarsie I made a note to visit her grave if I was ever close to Pine Ridge. On the 29th of May I lit out to Pine Ridge armed with tools to clean the grave if necessary, it turns out that the cemetery is well cared for by a local youth group.
I had a little talk with Clarsie about how lucky she was to have such a loving GG Granddaughter and hoped I would as lucky as she.
After reading your story I had a tear in my eye and as I placed fresh flowers on Clarsie's grave, and said goodby, that darn tear appeared again. | | | Brittainy Bird
