 | RE: Earl Downs Ravine cemetery is less than a mile from Toledo Memorial.....I did copy out of a cemetery book for toledo all the Ravine cemetery burials. However there is no rhyme or reason to the list of burials to how they are buried. I can look up the names in the papers I have on Ravine but they are not going to tell us where exactly they are buried. | |

 | RE: Effie Walker Thanks for your reply. I do have a copy of the Elm Springs Cemetery book, thanks to one of the board members Mary Pat Meyers. I also consult with Ted Downum who has lived in Elm all his life and also has a book. I am mostly interested in the Civil War Vets (50+) and their families. My documentation is partly on Find A Grave and my Elm Springs Civil War Vet family tree at Ancestry.com., among several others that I work. In addition to fulfilling requests along the way, I keep very busy. Having access to all the Washington Co records also helps. Our connection to Elm Springs Cemetery is through my wife's late husband's line, the Price families. We also share our photos with the Arkansas Gravestone Project for Northwest Ark. My creating the memorials for those older graves, we are able to add history and photos at will. This also allows me to connect with descendant's memorials in other states, without the constant request for transfers. Many of the older graves have been missed or over-looked. I will be happy to send you the articles on Effie's accident. - dennis | |
