The 2 stones on the memorial page are the same I think. I would guess the one you posted has been cleaned up sometime in the short past. I could not read the dates on the first one posted, that is why I posted the clearer one. I think they are the same stone. There are not 2 stones like this on the lot where I took the pic. I have no way to know if there were 2 different children. I have a very high quality digital camera that I use. Maybe that is part of the difference. It doesn't matter to me what you do about the dates.
In memorials I have made and something like that comes up I just write a note on the memorial explaining the issue. Thanks.

You are very welcome Sue, I'm glad to be of help to you. I usually check the back of stones but not sure if I did on the Rankin stones. I'll check the backs for sure the next time I get out to that area and let you know.

Mrs Hesper Iona Wienal Cease 52712434
Wife of George Wesley Cease, mother of Glen Augusta Cease, Harold G. Cease, and Lewis Cease, one daughter Georgia Cease Brakage Moomaw. Preceded in death by parents Henry Wienal and mother Chole A, one infant son Arthur.
So this is why I ended up saying Iona is the mother of Arthur. There seems to be a lot of infants who died in this family. I have no other info on these people.
Thanks for your help

Hello! I was happy to fulfill your photo request. Your directions to the grave were spot-on! The stone didn't look crooked to me, maybe a teeny bit. I also took a wider shot of the grave and the area around it, which I just posted with my original photo. It should give you an idea of what the surrounding graves look like.

Hi Sue! Did you also notice that I made a page for Mamie, too. I added a close up photo of that adorable heart-shaped marker. Glad to help out with your family history! Marsha
