My grateful thanks to Findagrave for providing a place to preserve our cemetery headstone data. Thank you to all the wonderful individuals who contribute not only their time and energy but expense in locating and transcribing cemetery data. Here we can help preserve the memories and images of our family and friends, and we help strangers to us but not to those that find their family and friends among these web pages.
I encourage corrections and/or suggestions for updates. Any edit requests may take up to a month to make but most are completed quicker.
Most memorials I add are works in progress and I am always looking for links and additional information about them. Let's never forget our family and friends. Please leave flower tokens so I can tell that they have been visited.
I use my gas, camera, cleaning materials, and feet in order try to do a good job on each memorial. Please consider setting up a virtual cemetery for your family members. Any memorial can be entered into this virtual cemetery so you can have all your family together. Having someone in your family genealogy is not grounds for a memorial transfer. With thousands of contributors, there are many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.
Fellow find a graver Ron Bradley passed away June 19, 2012. Please leave flowers Ron Bradley
Another fallen graver. Please leave flowers for Patricia Ann Langley Harvey
My sister Pat Holden passed away Nov 21, 2010. Please leave flowers Pat Holden
Please leave a flower for our Precious Kitten
Thanks to all who leave flowers/tokens on my family and friends' memorials.
***TRANSFERS = ACCORDING TO FIND A GRAVE GUIDELINES = DIRECT RELATIVES WITHIN FOUR GENERATIONS... I follow Findagrave criteria for any transfer requests, but please note that I do maintain memorials for many of my family and friends.
Currently live in Walker County Georgia. This web site has helped me find many places I have been looking for. Thanks Find-a-Grave.
Researching Bishop's family from Magee / Mendenhall, Simpson County, Mississippi and Jones' family from Ellisville, Mississippi.
My Bishop family line is me, Walter R, T. Melvin, T. Webster, T. Spencer, Josiah, and Ezekiel Bishop. The "T" stands for Tillmon, Tilman, Tillman, etc.
My Jones family line is me, Margaret Ella, James Robert (Jim), and William Calvin Jones.
I am also interested in the Bishop line female spouse surnames of Sellers, Harvy (or Harvey), Sullivan, Warren, and Street.
I am also interested in the Jones line female spouse surnames of Carney and Stephens.
My husband family names include Craig, Howard, and Morris.

That is strange. I've been going to this cemetery my entire life (65 years) and I never noticed the inscription. As you know, I am directly related to all the BYNUM's in this cemetery and no one has ever mentioned the inscription. I know there is a picture posted on findagrave.com but I also have my own picture. I went back and checked and sure enough, it says "She". This is the grave for Columbus Morgan Bynum. Morgan is used in the 1900 census, Columbus M. in the 1910 census, Columbus M. again in the 1920 and like you have, Columbus Morgan Bynum on the WWI Draft Registration Card. The inscription is correct and is written in stone but I don't know why. C. M. is definitely a "He". I'll have to ask my mother about this one but she probably won't know either.

Wondering about your suggested correction on above memorial. I would assume from WWI draft card that Columbus Morgan is male but stone inscription says "SHE believed and sleeps in Jesus." Do you have any insight into family? Could it be an error on stone inscription? Will await your answer before making suggested corrections.

Can you send me her Find A Grave Memorial # so that I can backtrack her in my ancestry family tree? My email address is email@example.com. I know that I found something else but I work with Ancestry.com and Find A Grave many hours each day on many different relatives, ancestors, and different branches of our [my husband's and my] family tree (now including our son-in-law's and deceased daughter-in-law's family ancestors), so I can't remember where I saw what just at this moment. Please be patient and help me to give you the information I found to request the edit I requested. Thank you so much! Judi

Thank you for transferring my grandmother but my granddaddy's has not gone through. I understand about my aunt and uncle. Can you please link Ethel Byrd #65574971 to her parents Lola Belle Dear Bennett #65574945 and Leonard Becton Bennett #65574944? Could you also link my uncle, Austin N. Byrd #65574970 to his mother Johnnie Maude Byrd #65574972? Thank you so much for doing this!
