RE: John Joseph Sullivan
I went back to the cemetery today but did not find a headstone for Katie or one for Timothy or (Father) with the rest of the Sullivan headstones. But I did add another picture to Cornelius and Anna(Mother) Sullivan page if you want to take a look at it. It shows where the bench is located which is why I wasn't sure exactly what headstones were Sullivan since there were no last names on them.

RE: John Joseph Sullivan
I'm glad I could help you solve some of this. I am going back to Holy Cross next week. I will go back over to their grave sites and see if I might have missed something now that I have another name to look for. If I find out anything I will let you know.Or if I can be of anymore help please fill free to ask. My sister and I have been trying to locate a few family members for the last several years and have hit a dead end. And it's been driving us crazy!! but we'll keep searching. LuAnn

RE: John Joseph Sullivan
Hi Mike, Actually I took several pictures last year of headstones that were near the Sullivan Bench but just wasn't sure if they went with the Sullivan bench so I decided not to post any of them including Cornelius. Then last week I decided to see if there were any other Cornelius Sullivan's in Sec 1F at this cemetery, (because there are a lot of Sullivan's in this section). When I found no other Cornelius Sullivan's I decided this was the correct one that you were looking for. Since the headstones have no last name or birth/death dates on them it made it hard to determine who they were. BUT, I saw that Cornelius was in Lot 791 space 2. So I went to Find A Grave and brought up all the Sullivan's in this cemetery and clicked on every one of them to see if anyone else is in Sec.1F Lot 791. So, we did have some luck. Right next to Cornelius is a headstone that just reads "Mother". After searching, it looks like Mother must be Anna Sullivan. Because Anna is in Lot791, space 3. Then, there is just some grass, which is probably space 4. No headstone. then there are 4 other headstones. Josie, Ella, Margaret, and John J. I found no Josie listed at all on Find a grave; but I believe she must be space 5. Ella Sullivan is Lot791 space 6. No Margaret listed for Lot 791, but I would believe Margaret is space 7. Then I found a John J Sullivan that is in Lot 791 space 8. I posted Cornelius, Mother, Ella, and John J. If you think Josie and Margaret are Sullivan's (like I do), I would be glad to post their headstone pics too. Just let me know.

RE: James and Gertrude Sheridan
The burial cards show James and Gertrude Sheridan are both buried at Holy Cross Cemetery. The plot information is shown on the memorials for them in that cemetery. The cards indicate that they have a marker.

RE: Edward Looney
I am sorry. I really messed up that last message. I read your message wrong. Elizabeth married Jacob Miller after Edward had already passed. So,should her find a grave say Elizabeth O'Mara Looney Miller? LuAnn

RE: Edward Looney
Your Welcome. And thank you for the info on Elizabeth. I was wondering why it said Miller instead of Looney. So, I just assumed (something I shouldn't have done) that that must have been her maiden name. But,if she and Edward remarried I wonder why it says Miller and not Looney? I need to correct this somehow. If I just list her as Elizabeth Miller people may not find her if they are looking for Elizabeth Looney. I could change it to Elizabeth A. O'Mara Miller Looney. What do you think I should do? Or since you are family I would be glad to transfer Elizabeth and the rest of the Looney's to you and you can think about how you would like her's to read. LuAnn

RE: Rousseau's
Glad I could help Mike! I would have gotten the other one you were looking for, but it started pouring down rain right after I took those two photos. I will be going back soon to get the others in that cemetery and may go to the cemetery in Covington too and search for your other two.

RE: Chas Jenkins
Did the obituary say Leav Natl OR Fort Leav Natl? He is buried at Leav Natl. I checked the Fort Leav records and there is no Chas Jenkins buried there.
When I go out to the cemetery to get his headstone photo I'll go to the office and see what they have on their records about the 70 Reg Ind Vol. I'll let you know what I find out.
