I live about 20 miles from Tombstone, AZ, about 3 miles from the Veteran's Cemetery adjacent to Ft. Huachuca. There's another, much older cemetery on the Fort but, thanks to difficulties getting in since 9/11, I don't tend to go on post much. While caregiver responsibilities don't allow me out much, I am more than willing to try & help others.|
I like to hang out with dead people, it seems, having way too much fun exploring family genealogy. I only wish I could find more records & info from Spain, translated into English. I've had so much help from the FindAGrave community & it's truly proven to be a wonder in locating final resting places. Sometimes it takes going through grave by grave but it's nice to "know" these people.

|Sheila ND||Ira Aldridge|
I am working on old cemetery records and ran across the burial doc for Ira Raymond Aldridge in 1918. The Corpse Transit Permit indicates he died from "lobar pneumonia" in St. Vincent's Hospital. So, not sure if that was a flu result or winter rain in Oregon.

It's ok thanks for letting me copy this photo.

I was wondering where you got the picture of Cassie C Bradley for for her memorial. She is my grandmas aunt. Also if you cared if I copied it.

I wish they would add a link for adding children, but right now you can only add parents and spouses so if I don't manage a child such as Ira, then I have no way of linking him to his parents. Am I missing something, because I would love to be able to attach children of some of my family that I don't manage.

You requested I attach Ira Raymond - 15224222
with his mother and father. I am not able to do so because I don't manage Ira's memorial. You will need to contact the caretakers of that memorial to achive that.
If you are family, even extended family, I would be happy to transfer the Aldridge's from these cemeteries to you. Much better to see them in the management of family than myself. I just put them up so others could find them and hopefully adopt them.
Thank you for the information. It is a bit of a mystery. I rechecked the cemetery record (online for Hilltop Cem, Chemung Co, NY, transcription from a 1979 reading of the Cemetery). Also checked the online image of the 1880 Census page.
The Census does show Ruby Smalley, d of Jeremiah and Elvira. However, she is listed as disabled with diphtheria, and then a line in drawn through the entire line like her name was being deleted, perhaps due to death.
The cemetery record listed her as dying 19 Dec 1879 at the age of 7yr, 3 mo, 8days.
I think the census taker at first relied on old information when he listed Ruby, then later tried to delete her name. However, heritagequest and familysearch included her name anyway in their databases even though she clearly had a line drawn through her name in the original record.
Of course, I could be wrong. If you have any additional information please let me know.
Thanks again for calling it to my attention.

|Paul & Sherida Hodel||Alexander & Anita Andres Photo Request|
I just filled your requests for the headstone for Alexander and Anita Andres. If you want the non-compressed photo, send me your e-mail address and I'll send it to you. Interesting side-bar, I took the photos this morning and then left to go to Sierra Vista, Arizona. I'm spending the month of May as caretaker at the Brown Canyon Ranch for the Forest Service.
Have a great time, Paul E. Hodel

If you want all the pics I took at the national for David email me so I may send them to you friend.
I usually did alot of the pics from the National here before my neck surgery and I am well enough to resume taking requests again.
