I am the secretary at Pioneer Baptist Church, Henrico Co., VA. I have been involved with genealogy for over 35 years and the secretary for this church for more than 20. The church's project was to record all cemetery information from headstones and church records, marked & unmarked graves. If possible, I took each 'saint' back one generation.|
With the Pioneer Church project complete, I hope to help other local churches to do the same with their cemeteries. I decided, with all the genealogical information I had on my own family, it was time to start finding and linking my own family's graves. These include Marshall, Fitts, Jolly, Little, Davis, Brunson and Stell.
If you find any errors or have additional information for any memorial I've posted, please don't hesitate to send me a Correction/Suggestion from the "Edit" tab. I'll be glad to make corrections/additions or links.
If you would like me to transfer a memorial and you are a closer relative than I, I will gladly transfer, except for those plots at Pioneer Baptist Church Cemetery, which are maintained under the care of the church.

I sent you an edit and I just found out about this by reading the discussion forums that when I send out an edit it goes to your profile page where it will show up on the edit tab at the top right hand corner. I don't know if you know this or not. The edit was for Mary Hofbauer # 32954183. Also, I added her husband to Find a grave as I found an obituary for him stating that he was buried in Pioneer. Thanks, Cynthia

|Ann Montgomery||Annie Laura Branson Herring|
Annie is on the 1900 Census Clark, Pike County, Arkansas, the dau of Daniel T and Sarah Branson. The childen were David, Annie, Thomas, Susan and Ida. She appears in the 1920 Caddo, Oklahoma Census maried to Lester C. Herring with daughters Florence and Nina.
Annie and Lester Claud appear on the Texas Census being in 1930.
I also purchased a postcard from Nina dated 6 Aug 1937 from Pulaski, VA and addressed to Mr. & Mrs. Claud Herring, Irving Texas. The note writes: Dear Mama and Dad. We left Uncle Tom's yesterday morning. Hope to get to Little Rock Sat. Wee SmokeyJack is performing nicely. No trouble this far. Nina Jill.
There were many photos and postcards of the family that I did not purchase.
The Bible gives her birthdate as 5 Feb 1979 and marriage to Claude Herring as 9 Nov 1902. No location stated.
Hope some of the family who would value these items can be found.
|Ann Montgomery||Annie Brunson|
I purchased Annie's Bible in an antique store in Irving, TX a few years ago. Only because I thought it was so sad that her family threw out this 100-year-old Bible. I am willing to give the Bible to any descendant who requests it.

I have been adding the Stell records to my ancestry.com today, and came across your name in their findagrave.com records! Hello, Cousin!! I am currently planning a 100th year anniversary celebration of the original Peterson Family Reunion, held in 1913. I would LOVE it if you could communicate with your Peterson family to invite them. So far, the plan is to congregate in Dallas County, Arkansas the weekend of July 26, 2013! I have just today started a facebook page, and will be firming up details as we get closer to that weekend next year!
So good to see another family member!!
Thanks & would love to hear back from you!

|Karin Heymer||RE: Rose Stell Milne|
I just read the stories you put on John Stell's memorial and enjoyed them very much. You might like to know that Rose's father moved them out to Claunch, New Mexico, to homestead so he could get Rose away from John. They lived in a dugout. I have the story written down--I'll have to look for it. I'm not sure how long she stayed--I guess until she could get some money together to take the train back to John. Her dad got on the train and begged her not to go and he cried. The conductor finally had to ask him to leave. I'll look for the story my grandmother told me about Aunt Rose.
|Karin Heymer||Rose Harper (Addison) Stell Milne|
My great aunt was Rose Harper (Addison) Stell Milne #35351969. I have memorials for her parents that need to be linked to her. Could you link them or transfer her memorial to me? Her father was Daniel Grover Addison #67109399 and her mother was Selina May (Locklin) Addison #67109618. Thank you so much. Karin Heymer

I just send an email to you with my address.
|Yale St. Clair||Irvin Lowell St. Clair (48079503)|
Did you upload those stories about Irvin and his other family members or do you know where they originated?
I've just posted pictures to Rush and Lillian Marshall's memorials.
