I live in Fort Collins, Colorado. I would really like to get the dates correct. Thank you so much for caring for the cemetery. The Heavenhills and Fryrears are my family. The records that I am keeping on ancestry.com for my own descendants to find mean a lot to me. Right now they are young and not that concerned or interested, but there will come a day and it may be their own children or grandchildren who will start looking. I am the only one left in my family who can identify people in photos my mother kept. I am in the process of labeling and uploading to Ancestry.com. I find mistakes in other trees. For instance, my grandfather's mother's name was Gail Shaw Heavenhill Grimwood. Someone thought Heavenhill should be Hamilton and so the name got copied to other trees that way and it's not correct. Her name was Heavenhill from her mother Melissa Heavenhill.
Thank you for your help.

I wonder if you can help me? There seems to be a discrepancy as to the date of birh and death for John Fryrear. Are you able to view his marker and send me the correct dates?

I am a Heavenhill/Havenhill descendant. My grandfather's grandmother was Melissa Heavenhill. Her father was Hiram Heavenhill...Hiram's dad was George Heavenhill and George's dad was Oliver. Oliver was the son of Valenine Himmelberger. Valentine was a refugee from the Nannheim-Heidelberg area of southwestern Germany. People from this region were known for their farming genius, especially grasses and grain for making wine. Oliver Himmelberger changed his name to Heavenhill. There is a story behind this. If you would like to read it. I can email it to you. Oiver's daughter Margaret married Fryrear. I would love to have pictures of the cemetery. I am in the process of adding headstone photos to Ancestry.com. I see that several of Margaret's children are buried in the cemetery.
Are you a descendant of this family?
