RE: Isaac
I don't have a clue who James and Mary's parents are. You have more information than I do. The only thing I knew about James was that he died in Coffee County and I hit a brick wall with that information.

RE: Isaac Mathews
I don't have access to Ancestry.Com. James and Mary's children are Isaac Ambrose Newton, Sarah Finillia Angeline 05 Mar 1848, Celia Fransina Catherine 23 Mar 1850, Jasper Alexander 30 May 1852, Francis Elizabeth Jane Matthews, I don't have a date of birth. There are two more females and I don't have their names. Sarah married Charles A Winkle, buried in Carr's Chapel Cemetery in Dade Co. Mo, Celia married James Hudson, buried at Carr's. Jasper married Winifred Mcclure. He was a minister and a circuit rider, buried at Carr's. Francis married Franklin A Taylor. They are buried in Howell Co., not sure where. One of the girls may have married a Sharp around West Plains, Mo.

RE: Isaac Mathews
Yes, that fits. James died in Coffey County Tennessee, his wife, Mary Elizabeth(Gillis) Matthews married an Alexander Brantley. She went to Missouri and Arkansas. She had seven kids with James and one with Alexander. I have been hitting a brick wall with the Matthews (Mathews) family. Thank you so much for your help.

Andy,
Do you know any thing about Isaac's parents? I think Isaac may have been a brother to my great grandfather Matthews, Jasper A. Matthews.

I am helping friend who is seeking information on Tilford Ballew and I notice that you have information on several of his childen. Are you a decendant of his or does your information come from one.
Thank you
Bessie

I had added the information you sent. You sound like a relative. Would you like me to transfer this memorial to you?
