I have been doing family research for 15 years. Find a grave has been a tremendous research tool for me. In return, I have reoorded some of the family cemeteries I have visited in Grayson Co, KY. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to record the larger public cemeteries but hopefully, some that I have done and published here will be of help to others.
I do volunteer work for Moultrie Co. (IL) Historical & Genealogical Society. Many folks from the Grayson Co. vicinity relocated here in the early part of the 1900s. I can do look ups on any of those folks if needed.

RE: Y-DNA Test Results
If you can, I would love to have that DYS number. Haplotype predictors can be pretty accurate.

RE: Y-DNA Test Results
I got R1b as well. It is the most common type in Germany and other nations bordering it. However, mine did not provide me with a haplotype. Like M326, or E1b1ba etc. etc. Did you get a haplotype? If not, did you get a string of numbers?

I'll need to know one of those to make the most out of the tests.

Thanks, it's helped a lot.

RE: Y-DNA Test Results
Hello Pat.

Thanks for answering so quickly. It's great to get to compare scores with family members after searching for so long.

My Wilhelm ancestor was Alexander, born around 1750-ish. He moved to Kentucky around 1780-1790. He was originally from Pennsylvania. This is all off the top of my head so please forgive some mistakes I make.

Were you or anyone else who took the test given a haplogroup or a haplogroup prediction? This is what I am after - you have a haplogroup, and you can nearly tell where your ancestors have lived for thousands of years.

Y-DNA Test Results
Hello, you may have seen already but I sent you a message on another genealogy site. I saw your post about taking a Y-DNA test. I am interested in comparing results, as I am directly descended from a Wilhelm ancestor of yours.

You can reach me at ketgwa@gmail.com
or on this site or the other site I contacted you through.

Thanks.

Baldwin Harl Grave Yard
I was wondering if you could help me locate a cemetery by this name. It is supposedly "near the Falls of Rough, in Grayson County, on the farm now occupied by his grandfather, John Salmon". This is from a newspaper article from 1884. I'm not really connecting this info with the Harl Family Cemetery, so I contacted you. - Carol Kaye

Eskridge updates (EDITS)
Hello Pat,
I have made several updates (EDITS) to some of the memorials that you maintain for Eskridges/Beauchamps. I have noticed that they have not yet been processed. Is there a problem with the data ? Please let me know, I have researched these and they have been awaiting processing for 3 weeks or more. Thank you for all your time and effort.

Amanda Eskridge HARL
Hello Pat, I have been doing some research and I happened to notice in your biography of Amanda that her parents are Christopher Lemuel Eskridge and Sabrina Shrader ?? I found the birth records, and it shows L. Eskridge as father, which I am assuming they used L for Lemuel and C. Beauchamp.. which I thought was Catherine Beauchamp as her mother.. or Kitty as you have her.. But the biography shows Sabrina Shrader as mother ? just wanted you to take a look at it.

Pearl Nottingham
I'm thinking Pearl Nottingham is Pearl Wilson Beauchamp. Her death certificate shows her born Feb. 22, 1887 and dying February 6, 1914 at the age of 26 years 1 month and 14 days. Her parents were shown as Hipocrates Wilson and Alma Spurrier and her place of burial was Beauchamp Cemetery. If you figure her birth date by her age at death, she would have been born December 23, 1887.

My father was Robert Franklin Harl son of Robert and Betty Harl. My father took care of the property until his death in 1990. He is buried in Walnut Ridge cemetary in Jeffersonville, In. I would love to see some photos if possible. thank you
