|Geri Lilly||RE: Mary lizabeth Gray Linebarger|
Apparently, I asked the wrong question. A lady had contacted me on ancestry.com through my Gray line. She descends from the Linebargers and was wanting info on them. I replied that I had attended a reunion in Staples years ago. And I would see if I could get any info for her. I can go back and get her email if you would like to contact her.
I had also attended a Gray reunion in Staples and met several Gray families. They copied all of my notebook and later compiled a book. But would not sell me a copy or even make xerox copy of pages. She said I had all of the info in the book! I knew she had some info on my great grandfather I did not have. Even with the proof I had on Russell Franklin Gray, they still insisted his name was Faris. Apparently, they still do. I have not seen that on findagrave. I would like to look at that info. Hope youo have a good day. It is a big day at our church. Celebrating its 1 year anniversary. Geri Lilly

Hi Martha, Appreciate the reply.
Do you have any info on the Mary E. Gray that m. Alonzo P. Linebarger that you could enter on findagrave? Geri Lilly
|Geri Lilly||Mary Elizabeth Gray|
Hi Martha, It has been a long time since we corresponded. Help me out here. I thought Mary Elizabeth Gray was m. to Alonzo Pruiett Linebarger! Her name on her tombstone is "Gray".
Looking forward to hearing from you, Geri Lilly, Midland, Tx.

It was my pleasure adding everyone in the cemetery. I was looking up some info in one of Karon's books and used her cemetery listing to add the others. I've never been to the cemetery before, but want to some day. Rutha Tharp Busby is my 4th-great-grandmother (through her daughter Leanna McKay). I seem to be related to so many families in that area, including the Cones. Archibald Cone's wife, Penelope Baker, was the sister of my 3rd-great grandfather, Thomas Harrison Baker.
Thank you for making the links.

I walked the whole thing and I dont see a head stone for her. I have some picture for you. My email address is email@example.com. If you could sent me an email then I can reply with the pictures of the Swindle's family plot. There is clearly a void next to Mr. Swindle and I feel that Mary is there but not marked.
I suspect that she was given one of those metal markers that is meant as a temporary marker and over time, those metal markers are lost. I only found one Foster out there but he was buried in the colored section of the cemetery. I did some research and I think her maiden name is Shelly.

I went to the Melissa Library today and was shown a book written in 1975 that list all cemeteries in Collin County and an inventory of all headstones at each and Mary Cone IS listed for the Melissa Cemetery.
I went to the cemetery and found the Swindle's just fine, I was actually out there on another look-up and noticed the name Swindle so it rang a bell. But Mary was no where in their vacinity. I was pressed for time today but I will run back out there on Sunday and do a full search. She is there. Yeah!! Now we just need to find her. :)

I will be heading up to Melissa within a week or so and will look for Mary Cone's marker. What is the name of her first husband - I will look for him as well. Also, I was able to find her Death Certificate. Are you interested in me emailing it to you? If so, send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
