I live in Lyndon, KS, but I work and have family near Burlington, KS, where I was born and raised. I have been very interested in genealogy since around 2000, and love to share information with others. In my spare time, you might find me, camera in hand, in one of the local cemeteries; that's something I really enjoy doing. Every memorial tells a story.|
I like to concentrate in the Coffey County, Kansas area, as this is where most of my family have lived for the last few generations, although i do some near Lyndon. Occasionally, I will create memorials on recent deaths also. if you need to correct information on any of my memorials, or would like to have them transferred to you, just let me know.
I have personally photographed and catalogued two cemeteries in Coffey County, Kansas: Lorenz Schlichter Memorial Cemetery, and Calvary Cemetery near Burlington. I do my best to create and maintain family links, and use Ancestry.com to assist me in doing so, along with researching in the Coffey County Museum Genealogical Library. Please contact me with any queries or corrections regarding these, or if there are new burials you would like me to photograph.
No one should be forgotten!

Gary, Please create the above site & thanks for your great research work. I can't believe James Redmond and wife had not been put in Graceland. I greatly appreciate your beautiful photos on this site. Richard.

Is the above in Calvary Cemetery, Burlington? He was a Catholic and had studied for Priesthood but did not go thru. Or, is he buried in Graceland with his son, John Redmond. Having hard time finding him. Any help appreciated. Richard.
I put some information up on the Jacob Schlichter memorial in Indiana (79189219). Some of it pertains to Lorenz Schlichter, you might want to have a look as it confirms his parents, one sibling, location in 1839, etc.
Thanks for adding the information and links to her page. Working toward a goal of linking all the Sutton descendants.
After reading your profile, I will keep you in mind when working on my daughter's paternal line. I think there are some in Coffee County.

Gary, I appreciate the work that goes into reading cemeteries much less a project such as find a grave.
I would like to have you make a correction to my father's info -- it is Frank John Yoho, not James. He was married to Maxie Boles, not Bowles.
thanks so much, Teresa Yoho Mitchell
Thank you for the photo of Larry Carter's marker.

Just a note to let you know I found Gertie and her family (my husband's relatives) in Oregon, the only branch of the White family to locate there from Ottawa County. I have linked Gertie to her family in Coffey County.
