I discovered Find A Grave while researching my family history...and now I'm hooked! There is such a sense of peace and tranquility, especially in the older cemeteries. The history behind the stones is fascinating to me, and I'm happy to be part of preserving that history.
When photographing a cemetery, I only touch the stone when absolutely necessary, and even then - soft brush and water ONLY! If you use chalk, flour, cornstarch, etc. to "bring out" the writing on the stone, PLEASE STOP! You will damage the stone, whether you realize it now or not. Visit the discussion forums on this site for safe alternative methods.
I started off with memorials for my own family, but have recently begun adding memorials from cemeteries I've walked. If you notice any errors, or have information to add to a memorial, please use the "Edit/Suggest a Correction" feature to contact me. If I've entered a memorial for one of your loved ones, friends, etc., please let me know and I will gladly transfer it to you.

 | Martha Hutter No, Not related, just a Find a Graver who spends too much time in the cemeteries. You might move the information that is with her photo to the Short Bio area as some people may never click on her photo to read the caption.Added by Ryan on Feb 04, 2013 6:54 PM | | | Ryan
 | Martha Hutter Please delete her memorial from St. Malachy East Cemetery and make a memorial for her under St. Malachy West Cemetery in Hendricks County Indiana. I took a photo of her gravestone today to post when you have the memorial ready.

 | Cora Bell Wilson Cora Bell Wilson had a half-brother Coleman/D.V. Butler, who was living in her household in 1880 in Smith County, Tennessee. Do you know anything about this half-brother who was a son of my 3rd g-grandfather Alfred Butler by his second marriage (to Elizabeth Mathews Bell). I am trying to learn if Coleman(name in 1870 census)/D.V. (name in 1880 census)is the same individual as the Theodore Butler who died in Allen Co, KY, on November 30, 1939 and whose parents were listed on his death certificate as Coleman[sic]Butler and Elizabeth Mathews. Much confusion among the men's names, as you can see! Thanks for any help you can give me.Added by Betty on Jan 08, 2013 4:48 PM | | | Cate
 | RE: Ida Gresham Thank you. I won't take the transfer because she's a distant cousin. Perhaps a direct descendant will come along and want to maintain it.
Thanks so much! Cate

May I also use the photo you posted to Ida's memorial page?
Thank you. Cate
