Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been involved in Genealogy research far longer than I would like to admit in this bio. Remembering many a happy times spent with my mother in distant libraries and trampling thru overgrown cemeteries, way before the movie "Roots" and the Internet. What fun we had and still have when we can yell out…"I'VE FOUND ONE"
My trees are posted under the names of "The Batchelor Pad" and "The Dennis Menace". There is no better way to connect with distant relatives and make new friends and help others than researching "Our" family lines. It's the pictures and stories I love the most, even if it is just a headstone picture, how they got there is their story.

The areas my research has lead me are: Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Canada, England and Prussia (Germany & Poland).

Please feel free to email me.
Thank you Find-A-Grave for this wonderful venue to our past.

Murphy and Cox
Went back and spoke with Odys Garcia at Southern Memorial and this is what information she gave me. Mr.Murphy does own a crypt in the main mausoleum. Unit 2 Tier 2 Crypt 14.It is a tandem. Number 14A/14B. She says there is a Ruth Murphy in there by herself and the other space is reserved for someone else that will eventually go inside with her. She didnot know who but she was sure the person was Ruth Murphy not Cox.

ps. I know who misinformed you because she did the same thing to me twice.

Whenever you call ask for Odys Garcia (SMC)

Ruth and Sam Cox
Hi, went back again to Southern Memorial Cem and had the administrator named Odys Garcia double check again for Ruth and Sam Cox. She Couldnot find their names in the system. She had several other individuals with that same last name but no Ruth or Sam.

Sam Cox and Ruth Cox
Goodmorning, When I went to the cememtary and spoke with an administrator, she informed me that their where three Ruth E.Cox and that if you could tell them if she is related to a James C. Cox (we may have a match). This James C. Cox is apparrently the owner of the Lot. If you could let me know then maybe Sam is with her as well. I will be going back to the cememtary on the 29th of March and I can check.

Transfers
Good Afternoon.
I might have slipped a few from WV or CT to you by accident. I did catch one Howell and two Reeds that are potential cousins. Other than that it's going smoothly.

Batchelor
Good Morning Lu.
Great minds run in the same place.
I remembered having gathered several "Batchelor" in my meandering and was going to offer them to you. I will take a little time with them, but they will all come your way. I gathered all these Georgia memorials while I killed time waiting on the grand kids at pre school. I was the official kid taxi while our son was serving overseas. They are now all in grade school and get official bus rides and I lost my job.

Hi Lu.
Love that.
I love that cemetery. I pass it about every week when I go out that way. Back then I was only doing photo requests and finally stopped while some folks were cleaning it up. But, sorry to say Find A Grave seems to have removed my cemetery photos. Anyway, I will stop the next warm day we are out and about and get some family photos for you. Say, can I transfer the "Kents" over to you?

RE: Joel J Batchelor
Hey sorry took me a little while to post them. You were right on the date i switched the 6 and 9 around. I uploaded the ones that are up there. I still have a Thomas A. Batchelor 1843-1912 and wife Mary E. 1846-1914, these two were inside the plot of Mattie R. and Charlie M. Moon (took this photo also). Also there was an Albert M Batchelor 1870-1915 - he was next to Thomas and Mary. These aren't on findagrave but im sure they are related.
