RE: shaw cemetery
i have spoke with a tina and sheila from joetown. tina is helping look for the right location of the cemetery. sheila has a picture of the old farmhouse with shaws in it. nobody in my family has been there in 30-40 years or so. so we are going off of memory alone on the location. i have never been there so i am relying on the locals for help. i am also finding (on the internet) that there are 2 shaw cemeteries in west virginia. one by grafton and the other in joetown, 2 sets of coordinates. joetown is the one that i want because of shinnston. i am a decendant of the shinns also. do you mind me asking who your contacts are? if not, can you send them to my home email to respect their privacy a little bit? thanks for getting back to me on this also! i tried locating it this past saturday with no luck. it's such a small cemetery and being on private property doesnt help much. nobody really knew it existed.

RE: Smith, Sarah
Kim, I am actually trying to reach the cemetery so I can find where my husband's gg-grandmother is buried. When I reach them, I'll ask about your Smith and Jennings. Locust Hill Cemetery is in Hancock County (Chester, WV). It is not far from my home in ELO. Also, I don't know if you are aware of the website or not. It has all of the old death certificates for the State of WV. My regular email is I plan on doing a lot of research the last week of August while my husband and I are on vacation. TTYS! Theresa

Smith, Sarah
Kim, I walked the entire cemetery today looking for Sarah Smith and Joseph Jennings Smith. I found many Smiths, but not these two. Do you have any idea which location they might be in? I plan on calling the office to find out for you on Monday.
