Ottenbergs in Unity Cemetery Latrobe Pa
Just to let you know...I will be heading back up there to do some more searching as soon as school starts which here is Aug 30th. If it is not too hot then. I did not claim them on the site because it will be at least 3 weeks till I can get back up there and I didn't want to mess things up if someone else did find them...

just wanted to let you know my plans.

I have verified that they are in Section I lot 121, but have yet to actually find them. Spent 3 hours today looking for them. I found Clair in another section and have his marker picture if you want, let me know. I will go up there another day, I am about 1/2 hour away, but if no one else claims this, I will continue to try for you.

John C Forsythe
I noticed that you searched for John Forsythe. I have done this also. Searched for hours. I don't think their is a marker for him. I found the other 4 Forsythe graves.

Etta May was the wife of a distant relative of mine. May I have permission to use your photo of her on my family tree website?

Thanks,

Photo of Henry Hebron Yarnell
Hi Rick,

Thanks so much for the identification of everyone in the photo.

I have been to Hill Grove Cemetery a few times. I found the obit for George Sylvester Yarnell (son of Charles J) and it states that he is buried there also. I went to scope it out before I said anything to my step mother as she had no idea where her father was buried. I was excited that I found Henry Hebron & Elizabeth's tombstone and Charles J's. I didn't find George Sylvester (my step mother's father) but I am sure he is buried there also as it looks as though there are other graves that are unmarked in the same plot. I took photos and have them somewhere and I can't believe I never posted them. You beat me to it, lol. Anyway. My sisters and I, along with my dad took my mother to Connellsville but we didn't tell her exactly why we were going. We told her we were going to go look in some junk stores and find a bargin, lol. I told her after we got to Connellsville that I had to stop in a Cemetery real quick to take a picture of a tombstone for my research. When we got there I handed her some flowers and told her to hold them for me. She still had no idea. I took a picture of her after I gave her the flowers as she was holding them in front of her face peaking at me through the peddles. I love that picture!! We walked up through the Cemetery and stopped at Charles J's tombstone. The name was completely covered a few day before and I had to dig down to uncover it. I said Shirley, look is say's Yarnell. She said Yarnell, I wonder if he is related to me. I said yes Shirley, he was your Grandfather. I then handed her a book I put together for her about her Yarnell's. She just couldn't believe it. I showed her H. H.'s Tombstone and she was elated. We spent the good part of the afternoon sitting there on the grass behind H.H."s Tombstone. It was a great day and I wanted you to know it was all because of you...

On another note. My step mother was upset that the tombstones are in such bad condition so I called to see how much it would cost to fix them. I got an estimate of 345.00. for both H.H.'s and Charles J's. 345.00 is allot to ask of one person and I was thinking. What if we took donations from H.H. descendants. If we just did H.H.'s it would even be that much. That way it wouldn't be such a burden for one person. What are your thoughts on that. Just wondering.

I wanted you to know that after I found the photo that you posted I went directly over to my Parents house to show my Step mom. She was very tickled to see him. He was her Great-Grandfather. Her Grandfather was Charles Yarnell and her father was George Sylvester Yarnell. Sadly though, her father died when she was just a baby and she didn't get to know him either.

Thanks again!!
