I started working on genealogy when my mother, maternal grandfather and grandmother in-law died the same year. It dawned on me that I didn't know any thing about my family and now had no one to ask. I am so fortunate that the volunteers at Find-a-grave are so willing to share the information in their areas and some day hope to be one of them.

I was born and raised in Washington where I raised my two children and my 4 grandchildren were reared. With this hobby I have traveled 47 states. I find my dead relatives to be so much more interesting than my live ones are. I don't take responsibility for anything my ancestors did in their time but have gotten a great many laughs from their escapades.

May they rest in peace.

RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 97209048
Hi Myrna,
I have linked Leonard, as well as his brother, Alfred to their parents. I am not related to this family, but from the 1930 census I believe this is correct. Please let me know if you find out I'm wrong.

RE: Duplicate files
I found other records that indicate he may have remarried and was living in Brook Co. at the time of his death. We may be looking at two stones, one the actual burial, the other a cenotaph.

RE: DUplicate Records
Any further information that this is the same individual? The two cemeteries are located in different counties approximately 40 miles from each other.

I added my marker photo to other memorial and have asked other member to transfer his to the correct cemetery.
I will delete mine when he does this.

Thank you. I've noted the conflicting birth dates. The delayed birth certificate states 1884; the death certificate and headstone state 1885.

I do not have a land line and am not supplied with a phone book. The most current one I have is last year's and there are no Scheelmans.
I did find this:
Terrence D Scheelman
914 Norton Street
Cambridge, Ne

Hope this helps

Very little information on those pre-1910 deaths, not located near relatives. My guess is 1880 census, Michael Quirk 50 IRE, Christina 46 TN, Michael Jr. 5 MO, Thomas 19 MO.
