|Bio and Links|
I live in Washington, Illinois. I am researching many different lines: The Seaman/Thayer/Bayler family on my mom's side & the Leach/Ward/White/Croney/Vannoy/Wakefield/Allen/Bollinger/Twidwell/Tipton/etc. |
families from Wayne County, MO on my dad's side. Most of my research is on families buried in New Prospect Cemetery. I'm going through everyone in the cemetery & doing bios/connecting family links, etc. It's amazing the intertwining of families there.
And I always state that if you find mistakes, kindly let me know in a nice way. I am fallible, just like any other human being, LOL!
I have a pretty detailed geneology for both sides & am now going through find a grave to see who is listed & who isn't & filling in blanks or receiving new info from some great people!
For those names that I have ownership of, please let me know any info that needs changed or that you want to add. Would love to hear stories that paint personality, life story, etc. Oh, & pictures are absolutely needed & wanted. I have posted all the gravestone pics I have so if you have any of headstones or the actual people, let me know!!!!!!!!!
Many thanks goes out to Robert Bennett for transferring family to me so I can do bios/links & to Dave Bollinger, trustee of New Prospect Cemetery in Silva, MO, & to Darlene White Cole for all the help!

|Clairine Johnson||Charles Brant Wakefield (1837-1903)|
During the search of my ancestors, I have found that Mrs D A Wommack, married a Charles Wakefield on 22 DEC 1895, in Polk, Missouri. She is a descendant, and I am looking for information on her second husband, a CHARLES WAKEFIELD. Would the Charles Brant Wakefield (1837-1903) that you maintain his Find A Grave memorial,happen to have a SECOND WIFE that was not listed? I have found a few families that do not list the second marriage, because they are no relation to them.
I have nothing but the date of the marriage (22 DEC 1895). and they were married in Polk, Missouri.
I have no date of birth, or middle name for Charles Wakefield. My descendant, Delia/Delila Arsinet (Bass) Wommack, b. 1835 (Missouri), d. 1925 (Colorado), at 90 years old.
The second husband is not a blood relative, but as I mentioned, I would like to furnish complete information on my relatives.
Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Hope you enjoy researching as much as I do!

Cindy, thanks for the information, I sure did not know about either one. I read the Journal Star each day and did not see either obit. I don't show a photo of a stone for Mike in my records, I do have a picture of Harry and Fern, I would love a copy of the Obits, also would you have any info on Becky, address and name now.

I am really confused about two David Lemuel Whites listed as Sons of my great grandpa William Elias White. both born same year 1889 one died 1909 and was buried in New Prospect Cemetery Silva MO The other is my great uncle who we always knew as Uncle John White,but he is buried with My great Aunt Sophie nee Yeager White as David Lemuel White 1889 1960. He and my Grandpa GEo White 1892-1958 were brothers married to sisters Vada and Sophie Yeager. they are buried in Shannon County Mt Zion Cemetery. I was raised believing George Luther White 190? -1960 was the son of David Lemuel and Sophie. I don't see him listed anywhere as their son. If you can explain any of this I would love to know more about the White side of the family. that I have asked about. Love reading all the messages.
I saw you left additional information on Calven Lacy 24754494. I was wondering if you're related?

|Karen Todd||Mintie M. Leach|
Hi Cindy. I'm looking for a needle in a haystack. I was wondering if you have a Mintie M. Leach born about 1881. I found a marriage to Phillip Ham to a Mintie Loach (hard to read document) on Ancestry. She was under 18 and there is a guardian listed but I can't make out the name. I also found that on the 1900 U.S. Census a Leach/Loach family in Wayne County. Mother states that she had 11 children/7 living. I noticed on Find A Grave for Rebecca Ward Leach that it lists 10 children. Three on that list died previous to 1900. Mintie M. Ham died 19 February 1900. Do you think there is a connection?
|Pamela Pierce||Ida J Croney Carlton|
I do believe that Ida J Croney Carlton was the oldest daughter of Hiram and Sarah Wakefield Croney. Ida married Edward Carlton (which was an alias for Richard Courtright) 19 Feb 1899 in Wayne County, Mo.

|Joe Lerch||John Henry Horn|
Hi Cindy, I have information on John's parents but wanted to send the background before I submitted an edit. John was the brother of my grandmother, Orpha Horn Lerch. Information I have shows that his father was Alonzo W. Horn and mother was Laura Bell (Lane) Horn. I was talking to my Dad last night (he is 94) and he remembers John living in the Soulard Market area of St. Louis. John had a brother, Claud (Claude) who lived in Patterson, Wayne County, Mo. Here it the background information. See memorial 129623147 for Laura Bell Lane Horn. It has John H. as a surviving son. The 1910 Federal Census has John as the son of Lonzo W. and Laura Horn. I have a copy of the death record index that has his name as Alonzo. The misspelling of Alonzo appears in a couple of documents. Look at memorial 45536386 for Claud Horn. His name is spelled Claud and Claude in several documents. The Horns were settled in Creal Springs and Cobdin, Illinois. I would like to submit some recommended corrections if ok with you. Thanks, Joe Lerch
