For you contributors who boast of doing genealogy for 30 plus years and on Findagrave for years... hop to it!! Add your reserarch to Findagrave and make those links... you've had plenty of time... :) |
You meet all kinds of people on Findagrave... most of whom are helpful and co-operative. Just spending a few minutes a day on Findgrave can provide a great deal of genealogical input. Thank you for your co-operation! If I can assist anyone, please contact me.
My father, David Kennedy, was an avid genealogical researcher, so you could say, this was one of my inherited interests. He started his search in 1959 after meeting then Senator John F. Kennedy in Washington, DC. He asked my father if we were Catholic or Protestant Kennedys, after which Senator Kennedy suggested that since we were not Catholic, we must have entered the US via Northern Ireland. And the search continues...
Some of my direct lines are Kennedy, Clayton, Merritt, Head, Prothro, Crouch, Wright, Goodwin, Bledsoe, Breazeale, Smith, Guyton, Moorhead, Kirksey, Wyatt, Griffin, Richardson, Meyer, Johnston, Lott, Knox, Gaston, Barnett, Ray, Sharp, Alverson. I have been working on my genealogy since the 1990s. I always try to give credit to those who have done genealogical research ... just a very common courtesy.... Thanks y'all.

I completely understand. My friends call me the Grammar Nazi. It drives me crazy! Have a wonderful day!
Thanks Fran. This must be something new. It will sure save me a lot of trouble since I have a hard time getting some of the contributors to make changes on my family which I find a bit frustrating.
Hope you have a great week.
Hi Fran, I did transfer William to your care. My Kennedy's came from Scotland about 1785 and first settled in Georgetown D.C.. They moved to Jefferson/ Harrison/ Tuscarawas Counties of OH in the early 1800's ... As far as I know, none ended up in S.C. (Drat, I'm always looking for new cousins ! Ha

Thanks! I found where Cornelia married Tillman Douglas Smith(called Corrie and Corral in the census?) and Edith married Harold McClellon, they had one daughter Jane "Ann" McClellan, last on the census in LA. Did you find what happened to Edith?

I'm glad it was helpful! Please see if you can keep your entry's extra info as it was VERY helpful! Thanks for all your hard work! - Mandy

I stumbled across Jane Ann Harrison Lazarus'page and saw that the burial was unknown. Her husband was a cousin and I found her that way. I'm attaching her link and the other number, so if I screw it up you'll have two ways to find Jennie. :)

Were you born a moron or do you work at it? Unlike you, I have other things to do besides "research" serial killers. I'm just surprised Bundy is your maiden name because that means someone actually married you.

Sorry I've not responded to previous messages. I've been really swamped and had computer problems, broken foot (healed now), etc. Anyway, there used to be two files for Memorial Park. the other was very small so I added my memorials to the larger file. Recently, they apparently combined them. I just happened to notice I had a dup and wondered how I missed it. I went through the entire cemetery and must have deleted a dozen of mine that became dups when the files were combined. I have already contacted the member with the older memorial and asked that the dates be added, and then I would delete mine. No response last time I checked. After a month, I send dups to Find A Grave and they delete them. That's how I handle people who won't get rid of their dups. They get mad at me sometimes, but it makes a mess. I will report this one and have mine deleted once the dates are added to the earlier one. I'm always willing to delete my dups period, and I've made my share!!!!
Hope all is well with you. My brother-in-law is dying with cancer. Doctor's gave him a week to a month. I haven't seen him in lover a year because he's been sick and can't come here, and I've got Mom and she can't travel. Anyway, I've lined up someone to sit with Mom while my wife, son and I go down there. I've talked to him about the Lord a number of times, but he's been angry with God. I hope he'll let me talk to him this visit. Maybe he'll accept Jesus before it's too late.
About that union soldier you told me about. I thought I had seen another, but I was wrong. I guess it is quite rare. I've never given that much thought before. Interesting find.
