Hi,
I believe they way you explained it is correct. I dont mean to sound stupid but what do you mean removed? THe only way Ive heard that used is when people divorced out of a family but in this case, Eunice's mom is a Jones and my direct line is Jones thru my dads side.

Yes, I am related to Eunice, she is (from my calculations) my 3rd cousin. Her mom (Shada Ann Jones) and my g-grandfather Andrew Jones are brother and sister. I descend from Andrew, William J, and my father Charles M Jones.
