My dad's family settled mainly in Dunn County, with some in Barron County (Dovre Township). My mom's family all settled in Barron County. These two counties hold special meaning to me, and I am located within short driving distance for research.
My mom and I do most of our research together. One of us carries a notebook, the other a camera! Many of the profiles that we have created are family; however, we tend to add as many additional profiles as we are able to when visiting cemeteries or reviewing obituaries.
Please note that I have recently been attacked via message from another Find A Grave member for adding listings without telling a story. I have, and always will, transfer profiles of close relatives. You may also Suggest A Correction to a profile and I will do my best to add the information.
Find A Grave is a very special site. It is tied directly to Ancestry.com, and those doing research can gets "hints" from Find A Grave. Adding profiles gives online researchers yet another resource to locate information on an ancestor.
Should you come across a profile that is a direct relation, please let me know. I am happy to transfer the profile, so long as the individual is not one of our relatives. Please do not make a mega-request for transfers simply to obtain a full cemetery! I realize that some members like to have the "control" of a cemetery; however, the real goal is to have the most complete information possible. We try to obtain photos of each stone located in a cemetery when we visit one. Sometimes it takes awhile!:)
My ultimate goal for Find A Grave is to provide a continued story for those who we have lost. I try to respond to messages and emails quickly, but please feel free to message me again if I haven't taken care of a profile update. I would like for the information that I add to be as complete as possible.
If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a message for me.

 | Me again, re St Boniface, Barron Co. If you ever happen to come across a gravestone for someone with the first name Jadwiga/Hattie and she was born between 1880 and 1888 (probably)please let me know. Hattie is the only one of my grandmother's (Helena Kryminski McNeil)siblings whom I can't locate. I remember my great aunt Martha and great uncle Frank Kerminski talking about their sister Hattie. Also, my dad and his brothers talked about Aunt Hattie. | | | Rory McNeil
 | RE: St. Boniface - Chetek, WI Sandi,
Thank you SO much for the photos! Wow, what a treat to find the links in my inbox last night. I hope to someday make it back to Chetek and visit the cemetery in person. It would be nice to say "Hi" to my great grandparents (Michael and Josephine Kryminski) plus all of my great aunts, et al.
Enjoy your visits to the lake! | | | Bobbi Rollins Johnson
 | Feeney twin babies Agnes & Gladys Oh my goodness, thank you SO much Sandi---this is wonderful!! I really appreciate the transfer.
I hope to make it out to Wisconsin one day to see Rice Lake & the final resting place of my great-great-grandfather (St. Joseph's Cemetery)! Now I have 2 destinations :)
Thanks again for your dedication. Have a great day! --Bobbi | | | | [View all messages...] |
