jesse gentry's parents?
I am searching for the parents of Jesse Gentry. He is my great great great great grandfather I think. My mother was Edith Mary Capps Gentry born 1927 [Gainesboro] and just passed away in May.

I am trying to find a Revolutionary War relative so I can apply to the DAR. I figure Jesse's father may have been of that era and could have aided in some capacity.

The Gentry's of that area intertwined with the Loftis clan, and mine did that at least once and maybe twice or more!

By the way, I can't see I have any relationship with the Gentrys of this book:

The Gentry Family in America: 1676 to 1909 by Richard Gentry

but i think I have a friend from that group here in Montgomery, AL.

Any help you can send my way will be much obliged!

Yours in the search,

Death Date?
There is a notation on this memorial that Elizabeth Gallion Gentry died between 1860 - 1870. Would you consider making a notation on my gggg grandmothers memorial that she died after August 1870. She is living with her son and my ggg grandfather Thomas Gallion Gentry and his family in August of 1870 in District 9 of Jackson County when the enumerator documented the family. Thanks so much! Thank you so very much for linking the memorials for this husband and wife buried in the Gentry Cemetery. I can remember what this cemetery looked like in 1996 and 1997 when my husband and I fought our way though the heat-tall weeds with our weedeater. I can't get over the change. George and I will have to drive to Tennessee from Texas again one of these days. Right now, we dare leave our propery and animals under these terrible drought conditions. Best regards, cousin!

How can I ever thank you? Your transferring to me the memorials for my great-great-grandparents means so much to me! I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will take excellent care of both the memorials.
