Dear Martha, I have made a number of edits to memorials that you manage. Please go into your contributor tools, the "edit" tab, and accept the edits. I have access to a document that has preserved the transcriptions from the stones that were read between 1900 and 1950 that is kept by the church. Thanks for your help! Bonnie

RE: Zachariah Hinton and family
Hi, Martha! We made it to Flemingsburg last week, and I was able to find the final settlement of Ezekiel Hinton's will at the courthouse. Contact me at so we can figure out how to get a copy of it to you. Have I invited you to my ancestry tree? If so, I can post it as a story there, and you can get to it.

All the best,

RE: Fisher Family
OK. If you could send me a link to those two memorials (John and Annie Fisher) that would help me a lot. Once I know where to put them, I'll attach them straightaway.

RE: Fisher Family
OK. Based on that info, I've deleted the pictures from the FindAGrave entry for your John Fisher. He is pretty clearly Annie's husband, from the positions of the graves, so this is not the correct John.

How confident are you that we have the right Minnie? I wonder if I should remove that one also?

Your welcome and is 65. I must have just hit the wrong key on my computer. I changed it on the memorial. :)

RE: Zachariah Hinton and family
Thanks for the death certificate suggestion. I'll follow up on that.

I will let you know what I find out if I ever get my hands on that settlement, too.

Thanks again.

RE: Zachariah Hinton and family
Thanks, I thought that must be the case. I'm interested in that settlement, too, because it seems to be the only tangible evidence that my great grandfather, Robert Hinton (abt. 1834-1909) is part of the Vachel Hinton line. I'm planning to look for it in person in Fleming County next summer.

Jacob Tice, Sr
This is Kristine Fisk grew up in Iowa, and now I live in Northern Viriginia. I am searching for my Jacob Tice Sr., who was born in 1750 in Germany and came to USA in 1770 then he moved from Maryland to Virginia in 1785. Did he have a wife? I see that he has one son, Manassah Tice (1/24/1796 - 2/28/1849). Any other children? Is there another realitves who buried with Jacob Sr? I am been working on the ancestry, and have discovered that he and others are buried in the Old Tice Cemetery in Christiansburg, VA. or 20 miles from Christianburg. Is there any way that you could look up this information and send or write back to me. Let me know. Thank you for your time.

RE: Zachariah Hinton and family
Thank you for your response. I, too, have been looking for that settlement statement for Ezekiel's estate. It appears not to be available on-line. You had so much detail on the memorial for Zachariah, I wondered if you might have Hinton connections!

Thanks again for all the work you have done.
