RE: The Whites in Bolton Cemetery Hi there! Well, I don't know very much about the White family. I did find on Ancestry.com the marriage information for Hiram and Martha Colbert. Is that the correct name for the wife? If it is, they were married in Madison County, Alabama. I posted it on Hiram's memorial. I also linked him to his son James A. On the 1900 census for Lafayette, Crawford, Arkansas it says that James A was born in September 1885. I also added the marriage information for James A and Esther White. I couldn't find anything about Burnese. But on her tombstone, it reads "sister". So maybe she is a sister to James A. I have someone in my family named Hiram. I haven't ever seen it spelled that way like on his tombstone. Sorry, I couldn't help you more. Let me know if I need to correct anything or if you would like me to transfer them to you. Frances
RE: J A and Esther White Yeah, I just recently took photos of the entire Bolton Cemetery. I'm glad I helped you. I don't know why the "Bolton List" I sent you does not show Josie in the White section. It looks like a lady named Sherry Link created her memorial. On it she say that Josie was the daughter of Jessie and Camdia Mohon White. You might contact Sherry Link and see if she can tell you where she got her information. Thanks for your kind words, Frances
RE: J A and Esther White Well, I can't remember. But here is a link that lists the graves in Bolton. It looks like they are on the same row N-row 12 so I would assume they are pretty close together. It is very common here for the husbands and wives to have separate head stones. I don't know who has the actual records for the cemetery. I know the Fort Smith Public Library has some funeral records for a funeral home in Van Buren, Crawford County, AR. It is called Ocker Funeral Home. It might possibly have their funeral records. Sorry, I can't help more, Frances.
