|Terry K||George & Carol|
Just found this after thinking about George and Carol last night. They were my Godparents. Mother (Kay) passed away in March, 2010 and I am still in the Tampa Bay area.

|Penny Rae ( Kinnison) Weideman||RE: RIGGS FAMILY|
Nice to hear from you. I too was and still stuck on some of the Riggs. I got help from a lady that was a ggreat granddaughter of Martin Riggs 1815-1868. Martin Riggs was brother too Elizabeth Riggs 1800-1848?. Josephus Riggs 1831-1862 mother. Martin and Elizabeth had a brother Named James Riggs 1810- about 1848? Elizabeth and James Riggs was born in Wayne county Ill and Martin was born in Tennessee but died in Wayne county Ill. We know Elizabeth, James & Martin's mother was Sarah May Judy think's she is not sure, Sarah was born about 1790's in North Carolina an died in Wayne county, Ill after Oct 1858. Judy does not know what their father's name was but Riggs.
Elizabeth Riggs 1800-1848? had two children we don't know who she married. 1st. Josephus Riggs 1831-1862 born in Wayne county Ill, and he did die at Pittsburg Landing at the battle of Shiloh TN. 2nd. Sarah Riggs Dec 17, 1840 died Sep 1932 in Wayne county, Ill. Judy seemed to think that James Riggs 1810 had never married but I guess you can still have children, but too Judy is 85 and and had to dig up this info for me. I have found something's that Judy had was wrong too, but I can't complane because of her I have what I do. Elizabeth an James brother Martin Riggs is my 3x great grandfather. Martin married Mary Morris had 7 children the 3rd James R Riggs 1845-1930 was my ggreat grandfather. Judy's great grandmother was sister to my James. Millie Ann Riggs 1847-1929. Because of Judy I do have a picture of Millie Ann, and their sister Louisa Jane Riggs 1840-1915 and Louisa Jane's husband William Cain. If you read some where about a book being published it was on my dad's side. Kinnison's. I would love to help you I have got most of my info on line from other people too. It would be easyer to do it with my other email firstname.lastname@example.org than find a grave as my info and picture's are there and on ancestry.com.
I have heard that there is a book too on the Riggs but yet to find it.
Please fell free to email me, our lines are the same.
