I have been doing my family genealogy for about 3 years. I came across this website and entered all of my family information. I am hoping to connect with people researching the same family and to share info. I think this website is a great way to memorialize your loved ones as well has help with genealogy research. I have a young son so I am limited with helping with photo requests. Once time permits I would love to be able to help more with photo requests. I plan on adding more info to the Cleveland Catholic and Guadalupita Cemeteries as I visit that area every Labor Day. | |

Grave Recorder
 | Mount Olive Photo Request Hi. I will be going to Mount Olive cemetery over the next 3 or 4 weeks (weather permitting) to take photos of my relatives grave sites and I saw you had a request(s). If you would call the cemetery office (number on the front page of the cemetery page) and get the location of the burial, I will try to get the photo request for you while I am there. Just add it to your memorial in the plot section. They are very helpful at the office. Kathy | | | mmvt67

 | RE: McOmber I went back and walked a little bit more today. I found James McOmber (1869-1929) and Fred M. (1896-1977) if they are of any interest to you. If not, I will just post since I took the pics.
Thanks.

 | Nancy Fannin If you would like a photo, please call 574-234-0036 to get location and plot #. I went today, and the gentleman who works there REFUSED to help me. I will happily walk the cemtery to locate, but, I need a location first.

 | RE: Doherty Memorial 38201488 I am sorry to report that I didn't find any Doherty's, or other spellings of the name, in either of the Nara Visa Cemeteries. As I mentioned before, there are many graves that are known graves but that have no markers now. I am so sorry. Is there a chance that he might be at Obar? That's about 7 miles southwest on Nara Visa & was a boom town for a while and a lot of people moved from one to another at some time. I haven't begun to work there yet. I am sorry both for your sake and ours that we didn't find him here. It bothers me a lot that there are not good markers on even some of the modern graves much less the older ones. I'll continue to keep my eyes out for him as I keep working the area. | | | Kenneth Oliver

 | RE: Platt I sent you a home e mail and a pic saying I thought the Gilbert Platt stone was the older Gilbert, I meant I thought the stone was for the younger one. It is all very confusing as the cemetery is ancient and the stones are worn. There was no Gilbert stone near Margaret. The Gilbert stone was 30 ft away. | | | | [View all messages...] |
