Bio and Links
Bio Photo One of my favorite quotes is by Edmund Burke. "People will not look forward to posterity who never look backward to their ancestors."

I am the daughter of the late Clarence Tatman and Evelyn Lawrence Martin. My husband Billy Don Bonds and I currently live in Farmington, Kentucky in Graves County. We have three sons, two daughters, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Though I am currently off due to health problems, I have taught at Calloway County High School in Murray, Kentucky for fifteen years. I am a Christian who is amazed by the most creative mind of all: God's. I love creativity, so I love all forms of art; my interest include reading, gardening, photography, scrapbooking, and crafts.

I love anything related to the people, places, and culture of to Between the Rivers in Western Kentucky. That was where I was primarily reared and the home of my heart as well as my eventual final resting place. My children and grandchildren have grown up with that heritage and now my great-grandchildren will grow up visiting the area known as Land Between the Lakes where I will continue to point out former schools, churches, businesses, communities, and home sites.

My genealogy interest are as follows: Martin, Nall, Potts, Robinett, Sigler, Holeman, Lawrence, Pinnegar, Ray, Hudson, Barnes, Thomas, Lady, Vied, Bunch, Hill, Hooper, Wohner/Warner, Cheatham, Smothers, Bonds, Johnson, Thomasson, Bell, Lamb

I am told that Wm. J. died 1920 in either Perry
or Dickson Co. in Tn. Can you find this, it would be wonderful if you can! Thank you in advance.

Carolyn,
Sounds like you were 'rather excited' about the information :)
Since we're having the Rager reunion this weekend, I've not had an opportunity to do much but get ready for family that's coming in.
I will take a look and also add your information to my tree too :)
Have a great evening!

Thank you for the nice compliment, it has always been my goal, after being injured, to get as much information out there (and accurate) as I can and free of charge. Genealogy doesn't always work 9-5, and there were days that I couldn't go to the library do to my injury. My other goal is to help as many as I can with a hobby that I dearly love! I dearly love photos, especially old ones, and jokingly tell people that they can pay me back by posting photos, which you have already done! I love it!

I have added the information you sent to the memorial page. When I added her to the cemetery as I was working with some surnames within this cemetery as well as knew the surname from 10 years of transcribing newspaper clippings to the rootsweb.com mailing list - INMONROE. I have some Vanzandts within my line however, I don't remember this one being one of them so I will transfer her to you for safe keeping.

Martin Line
I saw where you added a photo of Catherine Tennessee Whitsett-Martin to my listing on Find a Grave. My son's line is the Martin Line and I was wondering if you had a picture of James David Martin, her husband. Or any old Martin pictures. I would love to have a copy as I have a great deal on the Martin Line and would love to share. I live in California so I don't get to KY very easy. Anything you can share, let me know at: gdt@jps.net
Thank you
