hello ron,
i have a question about how i can find a copy of a publication called "history of bienville parish." it isn't a book so the libraries don't have it & i don't find anything online. it is listed as a reference on my great-great-grandfater, Isaac Buchannan Thomas' memorial page so i thought you might be able to let me know how your site was able to find a copy. please write me when you have a moment.

Hello, Ron! I wanted you to know and maybe to add a note-at your discretion-about the photos of the 2 Quaid children above at Belah Cemetery, LaSalle Parish, LA. I have talked to the person in charge of the cemetery (and walked over the place a dozen times) and the Quaids do not have a stone. The area I took pictures of is near their grandmother's headstone and there is an open area where they MAY be buried. Mrs. Terry knows they are buried in the cemetery because they are in her books but this is merely a guess of the area. If you want the pictures deleted of course delete them or ask me to and I will. Do you have any infor on Loyd Gibson/Gipson Born 30 Aug 1895. I found where he married Marg. Bell and then on find a grave his dad is John Not Ike Gibson,I or someone has gotten lost..

Since FindAGrave FAQs state "Location of body unknown should be used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition should be determined and updated within 30 days" we've added the parent information you sent to the bio portion of his page.
When you've located their gravesites, we'll be glad to update with actual links.

Oops! Just answered our own question....the California Death Index shows Loretta's mother's maiden name as Howark, which might be a clue (or not, depending on accuracy of the informant's info....)

However, this is one of the "families of interest" to the cemetery and we've updated their pages with some preliminary research and links. Since you are outside FindAGrave's "4 direct generations" guideline for mandatory transfers, we would prefer to retain management of their pages at this time.
We will be happy to add biographic material and/or make links (to known burial locations) if you'd like to pass them along via the Edit Tab.
