My ancestors settled in northeastern Indiana in the 1830s and I am still here. I especially like old obituaries and newspaper clippings, and of course, cemeteries. |
I generally follow the transfer guidelines as outlined by Findagrave. I try to get updates done quickly.
Exceptions: I often take photos when we go on vacation, so if I have a memorial that is not in NE Indiana, I am normally more than happy to transfer it as I have no plans to do research in those areas.
Thanks to all who have sent additional information for the memorials. Time does not allow me to thank each of your personally, but please know that the additional information is greatly appreciated.

|Linda Brown||Olin S. Kauffman 67509247|
Hi, I sent corrections through on Olin's parents. Tolbert Grant Kauffman #134168729 and Ruth L. Wolverine-Kauffman #134168701 are not Olin's parents. I was to the memorial of one of Olin's wives Mary yesterday and they informed me that his parents were John Samuel Kauffman #42661969 and Lovina R. Kauffman #42662042. If you could please make these correction. Thank you. Linda Brown

Thank you for linking Julia to her parents. Someone in the future will be SO glad you did!
|William Stark||Thomas Hays #3006788|
(1) The Thomas Hays at the Catholic Cemetery in Ft. Wayne, IN was in the 155th Indiana Infantry so he is not our man here. (2) The headstone for the Thomas Hays at Winchester National Cemetery (Section 77, Grave 3625) is inscribed with "DEL" for Delaware, not Ohio. However, there is no soldier by that name from a Delaware regiment listed in the American Civil War Data Base. If Thomas Hays of the 12th and 23rd Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry is buried at Winchester National Cemetery he may be in an unidentified grave.

You created the record for Walter Carnes Hare in Druid Ridge Cemetery. Are you a relative? He was my great-great grandfather.
