Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am very actively pursuing family information. I maintain an Ancestry.com tree, and my brother and I have family photo sites on Smug Mug, where we display the photos we get from family members and kind souls who share on these programs in hopes of preserving and sharing them with all families who need them. It occurred to me when going through my mother and grandmother's huge trunks full of photos that it was sad for one family to have all those treasures and not share. And, so began my many, many hours of scanning and sharing photos and information.

I also enjoy visiting other memorials and cemetaries and adding flowers, pictures or data to memorials that have no information, or very little. My husband and I walk through cemetaries quite often, and find the headstones so interesting. I love adding to the history of these people, and it grieves me to find one that says "unknown" on a headstone. Genealogy has become a true passion.

My lines are Duncan, Mather, Dodson, Smith, Moore, Bullion, Curtis, Whitehead, Barron, Reid, and you know how that goes - many more! I am happy to share information and photos with those seeking help, and so very much appreciate all that is shared with me.

I live in the Hill Country of Texas, am married, and enjoying retirement.

Please feel free to use my information and any photos I have posted. I do not understand the fuss about using someone's photos. If they are sacred and personal, then don't post them, is my philosophy. We are all here to help one another and share for this and future generations. So many photos get lost in fires, animals getting into boxes, etc., so why keep them private? After we are all gone, our grandchildren and gr-grandchildren will someday be searching for images and information, and if I took it with me, they would be left at a loss. There are so many members in my family who suffered fires, floods, tornados, and other losses. But, at one time they DID have a photo of "Great Uncle John", however, now due to some unforseen circumstance, it's lost forever..... Think about it.

God bless and and Happy Trails..

Thank you so much for your edits!!! Jana and I knew each other from the time we were 3. She was my first childhood friend. I just felt like I wanted to honor her memory by putting this on Find A Grave.

RE: Blakely - Hillsdale Cem.
They are the Same Cemetery, Just listed in the Wrong County...Coryell County is the correct county, and that Cemetery listing has over 300 internments, putting a few people that would end up either being duplicated or left out of the appropriate cemetery. This came to my attention thru a cousin not finding her father that I did find in the Coryell listing, I looked up the cemetery thru the Cemetery Listings of the state and this is in Coryell county. It does seem that Izora would should be the name but that is not how the county has it listed. WendyKelsoWhiteman

Wrong Cemetery
HI,
The "Hillsdale" Cemetery you have Ms. Blakely listed in is incorrect and only shows 17 internments. There are 357 internments listed in the correct Hillsdale Cemetery that is in Coryell County, not Lampasas County, Here is the listing info for Hillsdale cemetery.
(Near Slater)
