 | Photo Request in Holy Cross cemetery Detroit MI
Hi,
I noticed that you have one or more photo requests for people buried in Holy Cross cemetery in Detroit MI. There cemetery office has permanently closed, all of their records were sent to the Our Lady of Hope cemetery office. Please call them at (734) 285-2155 to get the plot location of your loved ones, this way find a grave volunteers in the area can accurately locate the stone.

I'm sending you this message because I see you have a photo request for Glen Haven in Winter Park. This cemetery refuses to provide a plot location, citing "invasion of privacy" and requires a notarized letter from the family to provide information which is usually freely given upon request by every other cemetery I've been to. This is SO frustrating for photo volunteers, and those simply requesting a photo of a grave.
I just sent an email to the Florida Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association in Tallahassee to complain about Glen Haven's refusal to provide plot locations, and how they treat volunteers. Perhaps something can be done if enough people complain.

I photographed the entire Coyner Springs cemetery in Novemeber 2010, and if there is not a photo on the cemetery page, I could not find it. There are a lot of unmarked graves in that cemetery.Added by Karen on Feb 23, 2011 6:10 PM | | | Steve Taylor
