Thomas Stone Yes mam, still looking to link. I have only proven to myself that my mother's family was directly related to a Thomas Stone, but not the famous Thomas Stone as was reported. Maybe I have made a mistake and missed something. Gladys Shannon was a member of the Daughters of the Revolution because of this - or a - Thomas Stone and I can't seem to figure how. If you need more info, it would be tough because I have not been working on this family for a couple years. Thanks for the inquiry and any help you can offer.
RE: George Ignatius Stein Hi Sarah, You're welcome. I have a similar story. My grandparents died in California (where I still live) but they were buried in Maine. I was able to 'visit' their graves for the first time in about 45 years because of a findagrave photo volunteer. That's why I do this. You have my permission to use the pictures if you want to. They are for you. God bless. Rich
Shannon Was hopeing if you found the link to Thomas Stone you would fill me in because the very old Shannon family was certain of the link - I have not dicovered it yet and would love to link us up via Find-a-grave!!!
Shannon Very cool! Please link William with his parents! father: 69712151 mother: 69712248 I have a huge Shannon book full of pictures of William and the whole Jeremiah Shannon family of Spring Mountain, Coshocton Co. We know who is who in very few of the pictures, do you have any of William I can compare with? I spent cosiderable time tracing the links my Shannon family claims to Thomas Stone and I find no link whatsoever. Not even close so I am also VERY interested in anyone who can prove the link! I have called it "an old family myth" untill proven.... Isaac Shannon married Sarah Stone, daughter of Jeremiah A Stone (1781-1854). Benjamin Stone was the son of Thomas Stone (1743-1787) and this Thomas is the son of Thomas Stone (1721-1791) See, wrong Thomas Stone and I think they confused this......
