I am researching my own family history and have found this site invaluable. My research includes the surnames Hodom, McCune, Crandall,Hare on my fathers side; Smith,VanVerth, powell, pixler on my mothers side; and Bokern,Bryant, ferira, scharff, inabinett, Linton on my husbands side. Thanks to all who contribute pics and stories.

Prudence Bryant
Hi Kathy
I finally found the Bryant Family cemetery and was able to go in and take pictures of all the stones we could find. It is in real bad shape with it being totally overgrown. The man whose property it is on informed us he received a call from the Bryant family in November 2011 and they are hoping to come out this winter and clean up the cemetery. So we will keep checking back there and help with cleaning and then perhaps I can get better pictures. But otherwise check the cemetery as I am uploading the stones I have pics for now.

Lanier family grave photos
Hi, Kathy
Thank you for all you have done to get the Lanier and Blanchard family grave photos and post them on their memorial pages. You are correct on Sarah Emma Blanchard Lanier being Emma B. Lanier. She was called Emma on most documents.

The one you called Henry Blanchard was nicknamed "Billie" although his birth certificate said Henry G. Blanchard. I feel that it probably has "Billie" on the tombstone. Sorry for the confusion. W. Henry was his grandfather.

My connection to this family is through the Blanchard daughter who married into the Lanier family. It is always special to be able to trace the women in the family. They sometimes get lost in the name change of marriage. You have done an awesome job on these family grave photos.

Thank you,

Jane Hare
Hi Kathy, I was able to photograph Jane's stone. According to GENWEB records, her son Thomas is supposed to be buried next to her but the stone that is there now is for someone else. I'll try to find out more and let you know ~ Bob

Thanks for taking the rest of the Nipper family pictures. I had pulled some pictures from the Harnett County Library site but these are much better.
